"The next matter we need to discuss since we've come up with a solution... what to tell our parents?" Kongpob asked, starting to see the situation clearer and not so hopeless anymore. Arthit almost choked to death on a bite from cheesecake when he heard him.
"That is an interesting question." It was all he could say.
"We could play it as Romeo and Juliet." Kong suggested, thinking how to explain he married a man the same day he proposed to his ex-girlfriend.
"I was joking about us dying, you know?" Arthit muttered, curious what his husband meant. He only rolled his eyes and began to explain. How incapable is he? Kongpob wondered, swearing he would have never married such a person in a clear state of mind.
"Let's say we've been in love for a long time but couldn't come out, given how different is our social status and situation. We've both tried to put an end to our relationship by marrying our girlfriends we had only to act 'normal.' But since both of us failed to accomplish that task, we took it as a sign and married each other." Kongpob presented his unrealistic and hardly believable love story which wasn't even close to Romeo and Juliet.
"I want to be Romeo then." Arthit said regardless to the previous comment his husband made.
"You're Juliet, end of discussion." Kong ended the conversation, also wanting to be Romeo.
"Okay, I'll say that story to my parents. It makes me shiver, just imagining how my parents will react." Arthit said, really fearing his father.
"As I said, my dad is Christian. I can't possibly imagine his reaction and that's what scares me the most. By the way, I'll bring a contract for you so we're both backed up by it. It will state all the conditions and our agreement, just in case something goes wrong." Kongpob said, ready to dial his lawyer as soon as they part their ways.
Arthit understood how little Kong trusted him and how he should also be more cautious. Something about him made Arthit open up and trust him. It might be the fact we're married? He thought to himself, letting the issue go.
They've exchanged their contact information and agreed on being in touch. After that, both of them went home, it was already late afternoon. Neither of them was looking forward to meeting their parents, but the mess needed to be cleaned up. Running away would solve nothing and they both knew it.

"I'm back." Arthit greeted the empty space as soon as he entered the hallway. He glanced over on a silver ring with real diamonds on his finder and sighed. It wasn't tight on its place, but wouldn't move no matter what he did. This whole situation still seemed a bit like a joke, but the reality wasn't so funny.
"Where have you been? We know everything." Both of his parents appeared in front of him out of nowhere, resembling soldiers in war, prepared to fight.
"What do you mean?" Arthit's heart sank, thinking about how their marriage has already been leaked to media.
"You've broken up with Mary! Have you lost your mind? You wanted to marry her!" His mom cried, pressing her hands together like praying.
"Have I lost my mind, you ask? If the only thing that worries you is my marriage, you can rest well. I'm now a married man." Arthit said in one breath, definitely not imagining the conversation going this way.
His father stopped spreading a killing aura and his mom's jaw dropped to the floor.
"You two haven't broken up? Is this some kind of joke?" She asked, smiling from ear to ear.
"We have." Arthit said strictly, wondering how to say the second part.
"Speak clearly!" His father almost shouted, being irritated by a conversation full of mysteries.
"Yes, father. I've married my other partner, Kongpob Prachaya, now Perawat. We're like Romeo and Juliet, but I'm Romeo. No, I'm Juliet." Arthit said, re-thinking if he should say the Romeo and Juliet part.
"What the hell are you talking about?" His mom asked, not understanding a thing. Hearing a famous name made both of his parents even more suspicious.
"Just as I said. We've been secretly dating for a long time. I have a copy of the marriage certificate and a ring he'd bought for me." Arthit explained, starting to have fun. After all, the person he was now married to was far more amazing than some bitch Mary with lower social status than he had. He handed them the certificate and made sure to do it with a left hand, showing off his ring.
"Is this some kind of a sick joke?" His father muttered, reading the document.
"I can assure you this is real." Arthit said seriously, starting to be a bit scared.
"I won't believe this!" His father tore the marriage contract in half.
"You don't have to, but I will prove it to you that I'm telling the truth. You will have to accept it then." He explained calmly, turning around and putting on his coat again.
"Where are you going?" His mom asked, not having any opinion on the situation yet.
"This is not my house. I'm changing the password on my door, so don't bother to visit. I'll bring Kong as soon as it will be possible and talk about our marriage more. Goodbye mother, father." Arthit excused himself smoothly and quickly, running away to his flat. He was scared to say more and taking the risk of having different love story version than Kongpop.
As soon as he was out of his parents' house, Arthit took out his cell and dialed Kongpob's number. It took three beeps for him to answer.
"Hello?"
"Hey, it's me. I was just wondering how did it go with your parents? It went better than I was expecting on my side." He went straight to the point.
"I'm happy for you. Well, about me... I've got nowhere to sleep tonight."
