It's the third time Gretel checked her phone kahit hindi naman ito nakasilent. Nakauwi na sila from Puerto Galera pero may tumawag kay Andrius pagkauwi nila ng bahay, he said it was an emergency but it's almost 24 hours pero hindi pa rin ito bumabalik o kahit nagtext or tawag man lang.
"First sign of cheating..." Kelly hummed. Nasa opisina ngayon si Gretel, she called Andrius' office kanina pero hindi daw ito pumasok.
"Hindi yun magagawa ni Andrius. I trust him that much." Gretel rolled her eyes at her.
"You trust him?" Kelly chuckled. "Eh di ba nga sabi niya may problema sa opisina? You called his office and he's not even there. Mababaw lang yun, I know. But still, he lied to you Gretel."
Gretel pressed her lips tightly and sighed. She even checked with Austin kung meron bang pinatrabaho ang council sa asawa niya, pero wala daw. She can't help but wonder kung asan na ito ngayon. He can protect himself at wala naman threat sa buhay niya dahil wala namang nakakaalam na isa siyang myembro ng council.
"He wouldn't dare do that..."
"Psshhh, whatever. Ayaw na ayaw mo pa naman sa mga sinungaling." Kelly grimaced.
Napabuntong hininga na lang si Gretel and packed her bag. She invited Kelly for lunch dahil wala siyang kasamang kumain ngayon. She got used too much of Andrius' presence.
"Mag-out ka na, you promised me na sasamahan mo ako mamaya sa Mall."
"Fine, fine." Gretel grunted. Napahagikgik na lang si Kelly at yumakap sa braso ni Gretel habang papalabas sila ng building nila.
"Lumalabas ba kayo ni hubby? I mean, nagdate na ba kayo?" Kelly asked Gretel while they are having their lunch.
"Hindi pa, we're still catching up. May work naman kasi, and I prefer cooking for him."
"But he didn't really woo you. Isa ka pa man ding dalagang Pilipina. You still deserved to be treated like a queen."
"Stop it Kelly, our relationship is complicated. Lolo Grandpa forbid him to see me that's why he never got the chance to woo me."
"Gretel, you never experienced the joy of falling in love and dating. Yung mapupuyat ka sa gabi kakatext, sa calls, yung feeling na hindi mo alam kung anong susuotin mo sa date niyo---"
"Why do I have this feeling that you don't like my husband?" Gretel's eyes squinted at Kelly. Napabuntong hininga na lang si Kelly and put down her utensils on her plate.
"I like him for you. But please wag kang magagalit sa sasabihin ko." Kelly held Gretel's hand at agad naman siyang nakaramdam ng kakaibang kaba sa dibdib niya.
"I saw Andrius yesterday. May kasama siyang babae na nakayakap pa sa braso niya papasok sa isang hotel."
