"Kasasabi ko lang kanina sa kanya na mag-iingat siya! Ang tigas talaga ng ulo ng mga magkakapatid na yan!" Yasha hissed ng makalabas siya ng emergency room after isugod doon si Gretel.
"T-Tita, h-how's my wife? Bakit po siya dinugo?" Agad na lumapit si Andrius kay Yasha. His lips are trembling and his eyes are unfocused.
"I am really against the idea of Gretel hiding her pregnancy from you. So, ako na ang magsasabi sayo Andrius, I don't really care what your problems are but those problems are taking a toll on her body. Your wife is 18 weeks pregnant of your twins, early stage is the most crucial stage lalo't mahina ang kapit ng mga bata, I was able to save them this time pero hindi ko na masisigurado sa susunod."
Namutla si Andrius sa narinig at halos hindi na niya naramdaman ang pagtapik ni Yasha sa balikat niya. He glanced at Nanay Mel na mukhang nag-aalala rin para sa kanya.
"N-Nay, buntis ang asawa ko. A-Alam mo ba yun?" Namamaos ang boses niyang tanong. Namumula ang mga mata niya as he felt something heavy on his chest as his heart clenches in pain.
"Wala siyang sinasabi sakin Andrius, pero may hinala na ko. Lalo na sa umaga kapag maaga siyang nagigising dumidiretso siya sa banyo sa baba para doon dumuwal. Hindi ko naman masabi sayo kasi ayokong paghimasukan ang buhay niyo."
"N-Nay, I pushed my wife, I-I almost killed them..." Andrius gasped before leaning on the wall. Lumabas na ang mga staffs pushing the crank bed where his wife is lying unconscious out of the emergency room.
"You can go home and have some rest Nay, ako na ang bahala dito." Nanay Mel looked at him worriedly bago ito naglakad paalis.
"Kayo po ba ang asawa ng pasyente? She'll be transferred to a private room now. Doc Chua, will attend to you in an hour." Sabi ng nurse sa kanya.
Tulala lang si Andrius na nakasunod sa asawa na sobrang putlang nakahiga sa kama. Napatingin siya sa puson nito and he still didn't notice a bump. The staffs left them ng maiayos na nila ang kwarto nito.
Andrius immediately sat besides his wife and held her cold hand. He kissed her wife's hand and silently prayed. Grabeng takot at kaba ang naramdaman niya kanina ng makita ang pag-agos ng dugo sa hita nito.
