The operation was two hours in process. Both the Jung and Park family sat in the long, empty corridor waiting for any news or any sign of anything. Jimin had found out briefly from Taehyung what had happened last minute, and that the family which he sat next to have gave permission to save his daughter's life with their daughter's heart. He couldn't be more happier and grateful towards them, but he didn't have anything to give back to them.

So instead Jung Hyeri along with her husband and two children sat a few seats away from Jimin and Sera, hoping that no more bad news would come to the or the family of the child. Jimin knew there was no point in running from the start. He was scared and frustrated, and just wanted to start his life with Sera alone, before facing his friends. He knew deep down they were angry at him, for giving no sign of living in the past five years and disappearing into thin air over night. But there was no other way for him at the time.

But when he had heard from Taehyung's mum that him and Jin were now experienced doctors, he saw a little bit of hope. He wanted to see his friends again, but felt guilty of putting such pressure and heavy weight upon them, only adding to the pain they must've felt, thinking their best friends abandoned them.

But with his wife beside him, and his two best friends inside saving his daughter's life, Jimin felt somewhat at ease. He could only hope for the best, but was scared that everything would come crashing down at him. Jo Sooah, the cardiac surgeon, he didn't trust her at first. After hearing what the nurse did to Taehyung, he felt weirdly protective of his best friend, despite not being there for him when he was going through it alone. But he could tell she made Taehyung feel a certain way, which appealed to him, and maybe her intentions weren't so bad.

Jin tried to assure him there as nothing he could've done, that only time was able to heal him. But Jimin knew their bond. He knew if he had been there, he could've been a shoulder to cry on for Taehyung, and save him from his misery. But he was a terrible friend, if he could even call himself a friend anymore. His friends were doing him a massive favor, and Jimin knew he owed them his life.

But only time could tell what would become of Jimin's life. The silent whimpers of Sera's crying and Jimin's harsh breathing as he prayed to god, if he had even existed, to protect his family for him and to let little Naeun live. She was such a happy baby, so much life in her little eyes which he knew she got from him. And the kind, energetic smile she got from her mother. He missed it all.
