We walked into the middle of the ancient building. Rain slammed her golden staff that I didn't notice until now into the ground and a glimmering elevator appeared. It was pretty much a wall-less elevator leading to the clouds. I stepped in cautiously.
"I love you." I told Rain, holding her hand we arrived to the floor. She blushed.
"I love you, too." Rain told me, and the doors to the elevator open. Gold sunlight casted itself across the clouds we would soon walk on. Gods were talking amongst themselves, and I noticed 12 thrones of different colors and decorations in the middle of the room. No one was sitting in them yet, but I could tell they were special.
"Those are for the 12 major gods and goddesses. Hephaestus made them and they each have different things to accent the god sitting in it's power." Ares told me, marveling as well. Suddenly, my eyes fell upon a lady talking to someone else.
"That's Demeter and Persephone. You can go say hi." Apollo was also guiding me for some reason, so I dragged Athena with me to the two goddesses.
"I can't believe he-..hey, look, mom." Persephone saw me first. She had gentle, blush pink waves that fell below her back. Her eyes were dark brow but were filled with mischief and happiness.
"Forest. Oh, I remember you." The woman that left me on Earth stood up, towering high. She shrunk down to about an inch above me. We had the texture of our hair, our eye color, and our height in common. But her hair was longer and blonde. She was darker than eye was, and had a warm smile on her face.
"Mom?" I suddenly remembered getting put on a doorstep.
"Don't worry, little woods, I'll be back."
"Ok, momma. I'll wait here."
"Sure thing."
The words echoed around me as Demeter pulled me into a hug. I felt her tears on my shoulder and I hugged her back.
"Why did you leave me?" I asked, feeling a tear escape my eye. Of course my mom was a foster mom. I knew that.
"Olympus was in chaos. You had to fight to be here and I didn't want you getting hurt." She pulled back out of the hug and Persephone ran up to me.
"You're the little half-sister I kept hearing about. I'm older, obviously, and I'm not around much. But I'll be the best older sister for when I'm around." She gave me a hug and I smiled, crying. Rain wrapped an arm around me, giving me ambrosia. I gave her a questioning look, but ate it.
"Everyone, Zeus and Poseidon are coming. Get in your place." Athena announced and everyone went into the places I saw them earlier. Athena sat me down and sit in front of her.
"Wait! You cannot look like that if two of the Big Three are coming." Aphrodite speed-walked to me, put a rose in my hair, and got back in her place. I felt my torn dress turn into a light green one in the same style.
"All hail the King of the Gods, Zeus and the King of the Water, Poseidon." Athena announced and they walked in. Zeus was tall and had a short white beard and yellow eyes. He was wearing a long black shirt and blue jeans. Poseidon looked in his mid-40s and had light brown and blue hair. His eyes were turquoise and he was taller than his brother. Everyone either bowed or curtsied.
"You may sit. I heard we are in the presence of a blessed demigod." Zeus said. His voice sounded like a summer storm; dark, but hopeful.
"That is correct." Apollo said, pausing his harp playing.
"Let us see her." Poseidon said. Athena nudged me and I stood up.
"Um, hi." I said awkwardly and I heard the room go silent.
"I can feel the power of Gaea rippling off you. As you should know, I'm Poseidon and this is Zeus. We welcome you here." He put his hand out and I shook it.
"I'm F-Forest. It's nice to meet you." I bowed a little and he smiled.
"It's a pleasure. Athena, come hither." Poseidon suddenly sobered up and Athena rolled her eyes.
"Look, if this is about Medusa, I'm not sorry." My best friend of many years crossed her arms, glaring. Poseidon laughed.
"No. I thank you for protecting Forest all these years and-"
His words got cut off by me getting tackled off the side of the building.
