I woke up in the cell again. A goddess sat before me, the same one I saw moments ago.
"I am Hecate. I caused that illusion to discourage you from trying anything-" I interrupted the lousy minor goddess by wrapping throned bark around her, tying her to the iron bars. I used a stick to wiggle my way out of the chains then brushed myself off, walking to Hecate with a purpose. A scythe appeared in my hand, the blade dark green and menacing.
"I am through being a pawn in someone else's game. I'm taking it for myself and living." I stuck the scythe in her stomach and then left her there. I walked in the doorway and realized that it was the same as the illusion. Suddenly, I felt a hand grab my wrist and screamed. Another hand covered my mouth.
"Chill."
"Hermes! Please don't kill me." I felt tears go down my eyes.
"No, I have an invisible cloak I stole from Athena a few years back. Take it." Hermes stepped out of it and draped it around me.
"Wh-Why are you helping me?"
"I feel bad. You may not feel the same, but I might as well help you. But watch out. Hecate can see through it." I saw him tower over me and nodded.
"I took care of her. I owe you." I put the cloak on and Hermes looked after me.
"Be careful."
~~~~~~~~10 minutes later~~~~~~~~~~~
I snuck into Hades' room, proud I lasted this long.
"Persephone, you're the best. You're so smart." He was twirling her hair and hugging her. It'd be cute if they weren't trying to kill me.
"No, you. You can kill someone without a blink." Her lips landed on his and I tried not to puke. Alas, there was only one way I could get across: Cerberus being distracted. Unfortunately, I had no ideas.
"I'd get you a Carrion flower, but I know you don't like the smell." Hades gave her a goofy grin.
"Rotten meat doesn't suit me."
Aha! They gave me an idea. I created a carrion flower a few feet away from the huge three-headed wolf and he immediately started barking at it. I ran past him to the gate of the Underworld. I was about to jump through it when someone walked through.
"I know what you're up to." I stood face-to-face with Athena, her glaring at Hades. Persephone jumped up real quick, face pink.
"Where is she?" Her sparkling sword appeared and I gasped. Her eyes landed on me. She winked, then looked past me. Wha???
"In her cell. If you want to see her-"
"Now!" Athena pretended to throw her sword and I threw a sword decorated in thorns. Persephone dodged it, but I forced it through her back. She cried out and crumbled to the floor. Hades glared at Athena and I took off my cloak, throwing it at the gems he shot at her. I threw seven swords that were similar to the ones Persephone's and shot them through him. He slowly crumbled by Persephone, petting her hair as ichor ran onto the floor.
"We have to get out of here. There's still-"
"Gods, I know. We have to report them to Zeus. You remember them?"
"Yes. There was-" my words got cut off by a goddess slamming me against a wall. Nemesis.
Ascelpiys and Alastor must be the ones by Athena. Alastor looked like the male Nemesis and Ascelpiys looked like a weak old man...until he drank a potions. I turned to Nemesis. She had caramel skin and gold and green hair. I dodged her attack and kicked her in the gut, making sure my shoes had spikes on the bottom. Ichor ran out and I stabbed her with my thorn daggers. Nemesis crumbled to the ground. I kicked her.
"No wonder you're called a minor god." I smirked, running to Alastor. They were double teaming Athena. I ran and jumped on his back, kicking him in the crotch. He cried out and fell to the ground. I stuck my sword through him then checked on Athena. She was pinned against the wall, but you could tell Ascelpiys was the one weakened. I was about to help her but she stuck her shimmering, gold sword his stomach. She panted, sinking against the floor. I ran over to her, calling Apollo quickly.
"Yeah, Whatever. It's not like I'm doing a make-up concert in Queens or anything." He answered, and I hung up. I picked Athena up, wiping the blood away from her hair. She pressed her lips against mine and I felt the love that she had been holding back. I held her close.
"Thank you for coming for me. Sorry I destroyed your invisible cloak." I said and she laughed, her hands in my hair.
"I have a bunch more. It's fine. Let's go." She gave me a shy smile and I smiled back.
