I screamed as the air blew around me, slamming my eyes shut and waiting for the ground to end my life.
"Uh, Forest, you can open your eyes now." Volant told me. I slowly opened my eyes. Volant was balancing on shoes with the wings of a raven and I was holding his hand, barely above my death. I screamed again.
"ARE YOU PSYCHO?!?? YOU COULD'VE KILLED ME!!!!" I yelled. He grabbed my arm and held me like I was a baby. I punched him straight in the jaw, my hand tingling from the impact. He flinched a little.
"Forest, calm down-"
"DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN! I ALMOST DIED FREAKING THREE TIMES TODAY!!! THAT'S THREE TOO MANY!! Take me home right now!" I shouted.
"Your home isn't necessarily safe right now. Hades is about to scope your house for you." Volant remained calm. I scowled.
"You're the one who put me into this mess, so you should take me out of it." I told him, my voice ice and my glare colder. His eyes held fear for a second, then he acted unfazed.
"Calm down, Tree-hugger. I'll fly you to a safe house." Volant's smirk made me roll my eyes. The wind rushed past my ears.
"...Did you just call me Tree-hugger?" I asked him, eyes narrowed. He grinned.
"Maybe."
I hit him again and remained unfazed.
"Are you gonna stop doing that or...?" He said with amusement. I shook my head.
"Are we almost there?" I grumble-asked, adjusting my weight so I wasn't so uncomfortable.
"Yeah." Volant started flying down and soon I was in front of a towering pastel blue house with a rose bush in front. It was beautiful. But it didn't change the fact that I was angry.
"Why did you do this? For all I know, you're a random stranger with flying feet. Even if you're a god, there's no way you're real." I shoved my phone in my pocket angrily, staring at him angrily.
"What's your friend's name, Forest? Rain?" He asked nonchalantly, brushing a strand of his annoyingly messy hair. I nodded cautiously.
"That's Athena. No joke. Text her and she'll tell you." Volant have a crooked smile that made my heart flutter. Only a little bit though. He's still aggravating. I sighed and texted her.
Me: Hey Ray...I know.
Rain: Shoot. Hermes did say he'd be around. Yeah I'm Athena.
I gasped and looked at him in shock. He was actually right. His baby blue eyes sparkled with mischief. Volant smiled.
M: wait so like...all Greek Gods are real
R: ya. And you're the daughter of Demeter. Gaea blessed you though
"WHAT?!?" I shoved Volant away even though he didn't say it.
"I'M A DEMIGOD?" I stared in his eyes, which were full of confusion.
"You are? That makes so much sense. No wonder Hades thought you knew the secret." He ran his hand through his black hair, thoughts circling through his mind.
"What secret?"
