Abandoned(Seulgi)

"Uh, are you sure about this? I mean seriously what if there's a bunch of crazy drug addicts camping out there?" Seulgi asked, clearly not convinced at what her friend was getting at with the idea of searching an abandoned zoo.

"Seulgi, that's what makes it so much more interesting and plus it's not like it's just going to be us, we're bringing the boys with us too. Hopefully, they won't pussy out though," Wendy said laughing at the end to cover her uneasiness, seeming hesitant of the plan herself.

It was already time to go, the boys came not even thirty minutes after Wendy suggested the idea to them. Seulgi was uneasy with the whole idea of it, Wendy was her best-friend and roommate so, she felt obligated into going with her to make sure she was safe. It's not like she wanted to go, on the contrary, she spent an hour trying to convince Seungwan that it was better to spend their Saturday watching movies and eating junk food instead of going somewhere you were guaranteed to be found in a body bag ten years later.

Seulgi smiled weakly at Wendy and the boys as she stepped outside to wait for them by the car. Jimin and Kai were both childhood best friends of Seungwan so she basically trusted them with her life and them also having a crazy personality, they just couldn't say no to the idea.

They all stepped out of the car to look over at the broken down zoo that was once lively full of animals, children, laughter, colors, to see it now painted with a melancholy theme of rust and dirt was admittedly just too sad to look at. The welcoming sign at the entry of the gate had lost its strength and half of it stay stuck to the wall while the other half lay slanted towards the ground, denting the earth. Seulgi felt a chill creep over her neck when a cool breeze swept over her, you would think it would've been the cold air giving her goose-bumps but, it wasn't. It was the pair of yellow eyes she swore she saw in the distance, hidden in the darkness of a ticket booth, one second she saw it, the next it was gone.

She turned back to Wendy who was just finishing up getting the things from the back of the car, closing the trunk. Before she could speak up to tell her what she saw Wendy shrieked with excitement and rushed over to Seulgi's side, hooking their arms together and forcing them into a skip towards the entrance, successfully cutting off Seulgi's warning.

The boys caught up with their flashlights in hand. Jimin past the extra to Seulgi with a shy smile plastered on his face which she gladly accepted. His blush didn't go unnoticed by Seulgi but she chose to ignore it.

She was very much aware of the crush he had on her. I mean it's not like Wendy could keep her mouth shut for a long time either. He was cute, she'd give him that but, she didn't want anything with him or, any other man for that matter.

Seulgi never liked to use labels but she always knew that she preferred women over men. Almost like a natural instinct.

The group wandered into the marine-life area. Wendy immediately scrunched her nose in disgust while saying, "That has to be one of the strongest smells I've ever smelled in my life."

Seulgi too covered her nose when the burning fumes of rotten fish invaded her nose. They all dispersed in their own directions, Jimin trying to follow after Seulgi but, failed when Kai called him over to check something out. He frowned and walked away leaving Seulgi to walk alone and further into the aquarium.

The sight saddened her, broken glass and random items trashed the insides of penguin enclosure, It was all just a dump that was once filled with living creatures. Seulgi personally hated zoos. She always saw them as prisons for animals, in a way, it was. The poor things didn't have a choice and were taken from their homes to be here, watched by millions of people for entertainment.
