The trip (Chaeryeong)

"Sooooo when you gonna tell her?" Yeji questioned while closing her backpack.

"Umm, like never? Why would I go out of my way to destroy a perfectly good friendship by making it awkward?" You huffed out while placing your toothbrush into your luggage.

"Ok that would be the case if she wasn't totally into you" she insinuated.

You raised your brows at this and rolled your eyes.

"There's no way someone as breathtaking as Chaeryeong would ever be into someone like me-"

"Highly disagree," she interrupted.

"Forget it, I'm not doing it, especially since we're leaving for the trip tomorrow. I don't want to be unable to avoid her if she were to reject me since we're going to be rooming together," you stated through paranoia.

"Y/n," she stated flatly while looking at you dead in the eye, stopping your movement completely, "you might die tomorrow. Which means you should always take risks even if it hurts you. You won't know unless you try..." she explained.

You understood this but still, the thought of her rejection scared you to death. This wouldn't be just some basic confession she's dealt with in the past, this time she'd be facing you.

"Y/n/n," you heard from behind you.

You turned to see Chaeryeong giving you a gummy smile that made your heartthrob.

You blushed as she placed her bag down to wrap her arms around your waist for a long hug while you and the other students waited for roll call on the field before getting on the buses.

"Hey, Chaeryeongie~" you mumbled against her neck which made her giggle from the tickling sensation.

She pulled away and grabbed her backpack to sling it over her shoulders.

"OOO I'm so excited y/n/n, we get to go visit temples, museums, restaurants-" You laughed at the last one and she slapped you on the shoulder playfully with a whine.

Before you can say anything else, you see Yeji with a smirk on her face as she walks towards you with Jisu hand in hand along with the 2jin couple next to them.

"So whatcha guys talking about?" Yeji said through her smirk.

You rolled your eyes and answered plainly about how excited you all were.

"Is that all you guys talked about?" she continued on.

"What else would we talk about?" Chaeryeong cut in, allowing you to let out a breath of relief.

Yeji groaned and decided to quit pushing them while Jisu patted her back at her efforts, which you chuckled at the sight.

Your eyebrow scrunched in confusion as you saw your classmate Jinyoung approach the circle you had all formed. You were skeptical of why he was here in the first place as he seemed to have his target set on Chaeryeong.

You knew very well that Chaeryeong used to like him in middle school which you were completely annoyed with at the time, but she gradually forgot about him over the years.

"Hey guys," he said politely while everyone returned their hellos, you remained silent.

He turned towards Chaeryeong and walked up to her while saying, "Hey Chaeryeong, I saw that you didn't have a partner written down on the attendance sheet and well... my partner couldn't because he got sick, so I was wondering if we could be partners?"

You felt your heart stop as your eyes widened in her direction. She told you that she was going to sign the sheet for both of you to be partners, and by the looks of it, she was equally surprised. It looks like she forgot.
