Part 2: Fengjiu's Point of View (POV)

It's unnerving being back in Jiuchongtian (Heavens) - back then when I pretended to be a maid, I used to stay with Dijun in Taichen Palace, sigh... how times have changed... I am now staying with my Aunt (Bai Qian) but it's not so bad, Xiwu Palace is not too far from Taichen Palace and I have my little nephew Ah Li (Bai Qian's son) to keep me company. He has grown so much, he is so cute and kind-spirited.

We all thought that my Aunt and Ye Hua would have gotten married straight after Ye Hua woke from his coma after destroying the Dong Huang Bell, but they didn't. Instead they went away together in seclusion for three years. My Aunt thought she had lost Ye Hua forever, the heartache she endured was excruciating so when he woke, she didn't want to leave his side and decided to get away from the politics, world affairs and everything else. They just needed each other and time alone - they have been through too much. Luckily, the Heavenly Emperor/ King felt grateful that Ye Hua did not die and granted their wishes.

The Royal Wedding is fast approaching and there was still so much to do... but all I can think about is Dijun. He never attends any functions or activities in the Heavens so it will be very difficult for us to meet. How can I see him again... Perhaps I could sneak into Taichen Palace... or I could find out from Si Ming when he will go to play chess with Lian Song and watch from a far.

Not a day passes where I do not think about you Dijun, the time apart hasn't changed my love for you but it hurts so much to be without you. My heart longs for you yet I can't get close to you. I wonder if you ever think of me? Are you still the same? Do I still hold a place in your heart?

Si Ming has visited me a few times within the last 3 years, I know you have been busy traveling over the different Realms to help with the Emperor's peace missions. I wish I could be with you but Fate is pulling you miles away from me.

I wish things could be different but this is our fate...

No...There has to be another way... I won't give up.

Today my Aunt told Ah-Li to take me to the Heavenly Pond Gardens to pick some Lotus for the Wedding, but I suspected that with all the preparations, my Aunt just wanted some alone time with Ye Hua so I happily obliged.

It's a lovely day and the sun was glistening. The Lotus Pond was dazzling and the Gardens were exquiste, there was so much fine greenery and colourful flowers - I have never been here before. I wish I could have experienced all this beauty with Dijun. He is so handsome and dreamy...

*smiles sweetly deep in thought*

Ah Li led us further down along the Lotus Pond where a tall, young deity dressed in blue was waiting with refreshments. Ah Li greeted him as "Deity Meng Shao" and I'm a flash, he excused himself. Before I realised what was happening, Ah Li had already ran off - that mischievous nephew of mine! This was a setup - my Aunt's silly plan...

*Eyes roll* how completely unnecessary. This deity must think that I was agreeable to this - poor man doesn't even have a chance but as Queen of QingQiu I cannot be too rude so I must endure this for a bit and engage in a little conversation before I excuse myself. We sat and made pleasantries. Meng Shao has a very pale young face, in fairness he is quite handsome with his boyish features and grin but he was no Dijun. No one is as manly, as handsome, as powerful and as wicked as Dijun. No one makes my heart skip like Donghua...

After a while, it became apparent that Meng Shao was rather boring, I feigned enough interest and was about to spill tea on my sleeve to take my leave when he started talking about his recent mission to the Ghost Valley with Dijun. Since I was a very young fox, I have always been fascinated about Dijun's battle stories. I loved learning everything about or associated with him. I have missed out on so much within the last few years so I am naturally curious and want to know more about Dijun's latest missions. According to Meng Shao, Dijun is as powerful as ever, he only needed to draw his Sword (showing his powerful aura and essence) and the Ghost Lord was no match of his. Not only Dijun quick witted but he also has magnificent fairy energy, any enemy or opponent would be silly to challenge him. As  result, negotiations was dealt with smoothly and it was another victory for the Heavens.
