ONLY YOU - Donghua and Fengjiu [Fanfiction]

Part 11 - Western Sea

Fengjiu woke in her own body next to Donghua Dijun but his soul was still in the Mortal Realm. She looked at him with sad eyes and asked knowing he wouldn't answer:

"Will it always be like this Dijun? To endure so much pain and heartache because of ill-fate? *SIGH*" 

With a heavy heart, she left Taichen Palace to see her Aunt, she needed her warm and comforting embrace, just like when she was younger - her Aunt has always understood her.

Bai Qian was right to worry, she knew Fengjiu must be very conflicted and upset right now but she couldn't send her back to Qing Qiu - not until it was completely safe and free of Demon scent, they were still putting in counter protective measures in place and she didn't want to burden Fengjiu with it all in her state of mind. 

She knew with Dijun returning to the Heavens soon, she wouldn't be able to rest properly in Xiwu Palace and this would be the first place Dijun will come to look for her. Fengjiu's physical injuries recovered but she was still weak and needed more time to cultivate her soul so her Aunt suggested to go to the Western Sea for some space and to think things through. She will be safe there, as her senior Die Feng (Second Price of the Western Sea) and his family will look after her. Fengjiu agreed and left the Heavens with her Aunt.

When Bai Qian returned to the Heavens, Dijun was waiting for her in Xiwu Palace, he wanted to find Fengjiu. He was frantic and needed to see her, to explain what happened and most importantly, to make sure that she was safe. Bai Qian has never seen Dijun like this before - he has always been so calm and heartless. Seeing him like this complicated things. She reassured him that Fengjiu was safe but she was not in Xiwu Palace. She wouldn't tell him where she is.

Dijun turned to Ye Hua and told him to persuade his wife but Ye Hua knew Bai Qian's personality, if she didn't want to do something then no one can make her - she can be very stubborn. Ye Hua gave Dijun a sympathetic look and said if Bai Qian doesn't want to tell you, then she must have her reasons. I cannot make her do anything she doesn't want to.

Dijun was persistent and wouldn't leave - For Fengjiu's sake, Bai Qian didn't care if she offends Dijun anymore, he needed to respect Fengjiu and let her have some time to herself so she was more candid than ever and said:

"Dijin, with respect, haven't you put Fengjiu through enough? To be with you, she has suffered so much pain and suffering but what have you had to endure? You think she is so strong and can take on anything but when it comes to you, she is so fragile. She doesn't have enough cultivation, she can't take anymore heartbreak.

Fengjiu has always loved you unselfishly and always put you and your wishes before her own - but what about her needs? Doesn't she deserve to be happy, to not have to look over her shoulder at every turn to see if you are in or out - afraid whether you will change your mind. 

You treat her unfairly. You tell her you can't be with her because of ill-fate but then you give her false hope in the Mortal Realm - I don't know what you are thinking. You and I both know because of the Rock of Three Lives Incarnation, you can never give her what she truly wants - can you give her a future? A marriage? A family? 

Please just let her be."

Ye Hua told Bai Qian that was enough - they still needed to be respectful towards Dijun. Bai Qian said all she needed to say and went to her Chambers. Dijun had no choice but to leave Xiwu Palace disappointed. In fairness he deserved all her harsh words, this is all because of him. If only he was not so headstrong and stupid  things would have been different but he sees things clearly now. Even if Jiu'er didn't want him anymore, he couldn't leave things as they were, he needed to find her and explain - he needed to make things right.
