ONLY YOU - Donghua and Fengjiu [Fanfiction]

Part 13 - Acceptance

Fengjiu was shocked, did Dijun just say that I am pregnant with his child?? 

Dijun heard her thoughts and nodded. He watched her carefully for a reaction.

Okay... he's not joking. Am I really going to be a mother? 

She looked at Dijun lovingly and thought - Awww a baby Donghua - hehe 

She smiled, she was so excited and overjoyed with the news. She pinched herself - she thought it was all a dream!

Fengjiu:

Oh my!! How can we be so lucky Donghua?? Marriage and a baby on the way?? 

Dijun was so relieved and happy that she felt the same way as him. He held her closer and kissed her cheek. 

"Yes Jiu'er, I am so lucky to have you both"

Bai Qian and Zhe Yan has been waiting outside the Chambers for long enough - her Aunt's patience was running out, she gave Dijun long enough, she too wanted to see how her niece was doing. She knocked on the door and Dijun told her to come in. 

Bai Qian was surprised that Dijun was still holding Fengjiu in the company of others. She coughed but Dijun didn't seem to mind, he was shameless. Instead he gently stroked Fengjiu's forehead (Fengjiu blushed) and let Bai Qian take his place. She embraced her niece, she definitely felt the strong aura around her, she couldn't believe she was already a High Goddess, it took Bai Qian a lot more years to ascend - she thought to herself, Fengjiu must have had to withstand a lot of hardship and pain. Poor Child. 

But Fengjiu was on cloud nine - she couldn't contain her delight anymore told her Aunt about Dijun's proposal. Bai Qian looked over to Dijun and said: 

Well  I should hope so, my poor niece has been waiting for you for too long and it's about time you proposed - You have already taken advantage of our Bai Fengjiu - Good luck telling the Nine Tailed Clan Leaders"

Dijun mused - "Surely they wouldn't mind, Fengjiu is only following her Aunt's example"

Dijun's sense of humour can be so wicked and vexing. (Bai Qian and Ye Hua had Ah Li went they weren't married either)

Bai Qian threw daggers at Dijun.

Zhe Yan laughed and stepped in, he told Dijun that he will set the meeting with Fengjiu's elders later today.  Zhe Yan checked Fengjiu's pulse - the baby is healthy. Fengjiu unconsciously stroked her stomach, she smiled at Dijun and thought to herself 'Ours.'

They all arrived at Qing Qiu and Dijun went and to speak to Bai Zhi (Fengjiu's Grandfather), Bai Yi (Father) and Ma Rui (Bai Zhi's Wife - Grandmother). They were all very surprised with the change in events and the marriage proposal offered by Dijun. 

Bai Zhi and his wife are usually so busy with matters of Qing Qiu that they were oblivious to Dijun's intentions towards their grand daughter so they were naturally startled when he broached the subject of marriage.

Bai Zhi was a powerful God in his own right, he had once defeated the four mystical beasts and have formerly ruled Qing Qiu but compared to Donghua Dijun - this was nothing. He has always admired Dijun and could always look at the bigger picture - This would be good for Qing Qiu, we  could benefit from such a capable King - They will grow from strength to strength.
