I walked into the forest. I saw a small stream, and loads of trees around me. I saw a really nice tree, and climbed up it. I sat on a high and wide branch that could hold me, and saw a really good view of the Glade. I looked around at the boys doing work, until my eyes landed on Newt, who was helping put big sticks into a pile. I stared a little, but then stopped and got down off the tree, when I remembered the bonfire. It was starting to get really dark. I ran out of the forest. I saw all the boys starting to gather around the pile of sticks, so I ran faster. Then, I accidentally bumped into someone and we both fell over.

"Ow. Could you watch where your going?" A boy's voice said. I opened my eyes, and saw I was on top of another dirty blonde boy.

"I'm so sorry." I said as I got off him. "I was running, and I wasn't looking where I was going—"I tried to explain but he cut me off as he got up.

"You're a girl." He stated.

"Uh, Yeah. But I am so sorry." I apologized.

"It's okay. I'm Gally." Gally said as he put his hand out for me to shake.

"I'm Amy." I said as I shook his hand.

"You're the new greenie, right?" He asked me. I nodded. "Well, come on. We don't want to be late for the bonfire, now do we?" Gally asked me. I shook my head. He and I walked to the bonfire.

"Gally, why are you late?" Newt asked.

"I was on my way here, but then I ran into Amy." Gally explained.

"Well actually, I ran into him. It was an accident, so it's my fault he's late. I'm sorry everyone." I apologized.

"Well, let's get this bonfire started." Alby said. The boys threw the sticks on fire into the pile of sticks, and created the bonfire. They all yelled. I smiled at their excitement. Later, everyone was doing random things at the bonfire. Many boys welcomed me into the Glade, but now I'm just sitting by myself under a tree. I was thinking about a lot of things. Like why are we here? Where are our parents? What horrible things did we do to deserve to be in here? But mostly, who wrote that little message in the notebook? And why did they write it? My thoughts were interrupted by a dirty blonde boy coming over to me. Newt. He sat down next to me.

"What you doing by yourself? This is your party?" He asked me.

"Yeah, but I never asked for one

"Yeah, but I never asked for one." I said as I looked at him for a second, then back at the bonfire.

"Why do you hate being celebrated so much?" He asked

"Why do you hate being celebrated so much?" He asked.

"I just.....I don't know! I just don't like be celebrated, for a reason I can't......... remember." I answered. I sighed. I suddenly felt my hand being grabbed by his.

"It's not your fault that you can't remember. I can't remember a lot of things. Sometimes, I wonder if the people who put us here, took away our memories because of something we did. But it's just a hunch. I don't know if it's true." He told me. He sighed and let go of my hand. He got up off the ground, and turned to me. "I'm going back to the party. What will you do?" He asked me.

"I'm gonna turn in for the night." I answered.

"Alright well, good night Amy." He said. I got up off the ground.

"Good night Newt." I said, then I started walking to the hut.
