Today was the day! We were halfway through our holiday. My mum had found someone who was a therapist and was able to help me with the haunting figure.
We arrived at the therapist office. The women was very nice and explained to my mum and I what was going to happen within the session and how it would benefit me. She told me that psychodynamic therapy would benefit me. She told me to speak freely about what had been happening. I told her about my dreams and how I could visualise the figure in this life. She listened carefully to what I had too say and took notes as I spoke. I sounded quite psycho I think as it rarely occurs that a figure haunts someone. As I spoke, I glanced over to my mum, who looked really apologetic for not believing me. I knew she would support me.
After an hour of speaking to Judy, the therapist, she told me what she thought. "Well Lily, this is a strange experience that you have encountered and it seems to me like you did not see this figure in a dream. You have seen him in person before you saw him in what you thought was a dream. It was actually a vision of the future. Although I cannot tell what will happen in the future, I can tell you that you need to clear your mind from any further thoughts you many have of this figure. From observing your brain capacity and from what I've heard of you, this figure is dangerous, I'm not quite sure if it's someone close to you but you should try to blank it out. The more you do that the more it will heal and go away. You mustn't tell anyone as I fear it will get stronger if you do. You must stay strong if it tries to harm you in any way and you mustn't let it rule your life. Okay?".
I smiled at her and replied "Thank you so much. For months I have been suffering and I'm so glad I've come to you to clear my head and my worries. Thanks again". Me and my mum left. "Fancy some food?" She asked me. I laughed "Yeah!".
After we had some food, we arrived back at the pool only to hear my dad saying "Where have you girls been?". Amy was sunbathing and Dad was reading a magazine. "Girly day shopping" my mum replied with. My dad was easily convinced.
"Lil, Grace has been calling me wanting to speak to you, why don't you give her a call back?". Amy said too me as she handed her phone at me. I said I would and went to sit on the side of the pool. It was ringing.
Grace - Am! What's up?
Me - Grace! Hey it's Lil!
Grace - OMG hey! What's happened on Facebook?
Me - awh I dunno to be honest! Yes I snogged Harry but who took the photo? No one was with us?
Grace - I dunno that's weird! Look me and Meg have had your back on Facebook! Nearly everyone is having a go at you! I mean it's not your fault is it! God!
Me - I know that was what I was saying to Amy. I'm missing you so much!
Grace - I'm missing you loads! Come round to mine when your back yeah?
Me - Yeah defo! I can't wait too see you!
Grace - I know it's gonna be so good! Have loads of gossip for you!
Me - and it's your birthday soon isn't it? OMG can't wait.
Grace - yeah! Party!!!
Me - Gotta go bye babe!
Grace - Speak to ya soon! I love you!
Me - love you too!
I hung up, gave the phone back to Amy and dived into the pool feeling great and relieved that I had spoken to Grace. I loved Grace. From the moment I met her, I knew we would get on and be like best friends! She was so bubbly and up for a laugh and then she was someone who was there for me and I could trust. I just loved her!
I went out for another meal that night with my family and had a walk on the beach late at night. It truly was magical! We skimmed stones into the sea and Amy and I wrote on a rock:- 'Amy and Lily, holiday to Hawaii'. We then counted down from 3 and threw it into the sea.
That night I collapsed onto the bed and fell straight asleep.
