Confessions And Confusions

My hands were shaking. My whole body shivered with nerves. I stared at my mum. I didn't know how to start explaining.

"Well...the night before I started my first day, I had a strange dream about this figure, I didn't know anything about him, he started saying obscure things. I thought it was just a one off or something but then I kept having these dreams and it started to haunt me a little. Then, I kept seeing this figure everywhere I went and I thought I would tell someone before it all got out of hand". She stared at me, not knowing what an earth to say to me. Tears built up in my sockets, until she said something.

"Lil, I don't know what too say. Are you okay? Why didn't you say something before? We need to get you some help, maybe a therapy session? I can have a look around to see of anyone can help here?"

I didn't really know what too say. I mean, I was relieved there was optional help and support for me, but I didn't feel like my mum was fully convinced. I gave her a huge hug and said thank you.

That night, I had no dream. I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. Everything was normal. I spent the whole day in the swimming pool, having fun and barely thinking about the night before. I felt like I was a new women.

I sat by the pool and started to reflect on this journey I had had with this figure. I mean what was the purpose of him? To make my life a disaster? What did he mean by 'Curse the land if we do not'. In my dream I went with him, but do I need to now in this present world. All of these questions formed in my head with no matching answers but pure confusion stood. I was utterly baffled. I had an idea. Maybe It meant that something would happen in the present world to do with me, something bad, like a dystopian existence. Maybe something I do in this present world, will have an effect on him, maybe I can destroy him and never have to deal with him ever again.

"Lil! Come on! Come to the jacuzzi!!" Yelled Amy from the other side of the pool. I smiled at her and went to the jacuzzi. The bubbles formed a barrier over me as if they stood guard and were ready to protect and fight. "So..what's happening?" Asked Amy.

"Nothing much really, you?". I replied in a apprehensive way.

"No, I mean with Harry". She said. My mouth dropped. How did she know? I was fuming but I didn't want to say anything so I just went along with it.

"Um..he's just a friend. And yeah girls and boys can be friends". I nervously awaited to see what she came back with.

"Don't worry. It's only me and the entire school who knows about your secret little date at the park just before we left." She seemed quite proud. What?! She was there? My mouth turned dry and my hands started to sweat and wrinkles formed all up my arms and legs.

"Wha? How do you..? Wait it isn't what you think? How did you even find out? How does everyone know?". I was freaking out majorly.

"Umm...the picture you put up on Facebook?". She replied with.

"Wait a minute...what picture?". I felt so embarrassed. I don't even know how the picture got there. No one was with us. I checked. Amy looked at me with confusion, I knew she would help me through it though. She was good like that.
