It was the last day of our holiday in Hawaii. my parents had arranged a surprise for us for the last day which they revealed to us that morning. "Girls, your dad and I have arranged for us all too". My mum began. I was so excited although I hated surprises. She continued "SWIM WITH DOLPHINS!". She said it. A smile arose on both of out faces. I was in complete shock. I was going to swim with dolphins! I jumped up hugged them so tight and screamed to the top of my voice, forgetting that it was our last day. I didn't really care at that moment in time! I quickly shoved all of my clothes back into the suitcase apart from my pink and white polka dot bikini, a towel and some spare clothes to change into after. Amy did the same, although she folded her clothes placing them neatly into the case.
We arrived at Discovery Cove. The amount of people who came that day was surreal! We queued about an hour too touch the manta rays and the baby sharks. It was truly magical. The whole experience my jaw was practically drooping down to my neck as I was so shocked I was here! The manta rays were spectacular and were so therapeutic I felt like I could watch them all day gliding in the water peacefully. As well as the manta rays, the baby sharks were so friendly, and they let you touch them which was a special moment, to have that connection with an animal made my day.
We stopped for some lunch before going to swim with the dolphins. We went to the "Cove Café". There were little fish tanks everywhere with clown fish and tropical fish which amazed me. They also had the manta rays swimming underwater as the floor of the café. I was in my world!
After lunch, we queued an hour and a half for the dolphins. When it was our turn they provided wet suits for us that we were assigned to put on. The instructor Maddie was very helpful and told us more about dolphin habitats and their adaptation skills. It was fascinating.
It was then our turn! They were four dolphins in the restricted swimming area which was huge which made me smile because I like to know that animals in captivity have a huge area to survive. The dolphins names were Ronnie, Splash, Flipper and Donald. We jumped in and instantly they were swimming round us making dolphin sounds. Maddie told us to each have a dolphin and hold onto their fin and hopefully they would glide in the water pulling us with them. Flipper was swimming around me so I grabbed onto his fin and he darted and dashed through the water. I let go, only holding on with one hand, the other I was waving at Amy, who was doing the same but with Splash. My mum was having trouble with Donald as he kept splashing her! I was laughing my head off!
After two eventful hours swimming with the dolphins it was time too head back to the hotel to get changed ready to go home. The car picked us up at Discovery Cove at 3pm which meant that we would be able to leave the hotel with our suitcases at 4:30pm to be at the airport for 6pm, to depart at 9:30pm. It was a stressful day.
We arrived back at the hotel, I quickly changed sporting baggy trousers, a cropped summery top and my Nike airs. My parents gathered the final bits and bobs, we checked for any bits we had left out and then left the hotel room.
The airport was huge! There were mini boutiques, little stalls and plenty of duty frees to cater for the whole world! I picked up some perfume and some new clothes before heading onto the plane. I made sure I had my headphones as I knew it was going to be a long flight.
16 hours later
We were home! Back in virgina! I couldn't wait too see everyone! But then I remembered about the whole Facebook situation. I wasn't really keen on seeing anyone bar Grace and Harry. It was now 11:15am so I decided to give Harry a quick text.
To Harry

My phone beeped
To Lily

And so I leaped off my bed grabbed some money and my phone and headed off to Harry's house.
