It was raining when I was reaped. I remember umbrellas all around, and solemn faces all over the crowd. The girl from my district was reaped, and at first I didn't appreciate how dire the situation could be. Then they called my name. I couldn't believe it. Me... They named me. I walk up to the stage, as if in a trance. I'd never really had many good friends, and definitely none that would choose to die for me. I am a tribute.
