Val’s POV
I awoke as if from a deep sleep. How was I here again? The real world was around me and I knew if I could just stand up I could touch it. I wanted to feel the tree’s bark, the coffin around me and grass above me. I slowly got up feeling slightly dizzy and climbed up out of the grave and I felt a hand in mine. I looked up and it was Colin he’d waited for me after all I should have known he would. I’d missed him in my time on that other plain. Was he the one who saved me from it? “Colin”, I said hugging him. I could feel his muscles and touch his smooth skin on his face. I won’t change one thing about Colin and I wanted him more than anything.
“Rose I never want to be away from you again”, he said holding onto me, “I might not get you back next time and that was be unbearable”.
“The only unbearable thing for me would be for me to blink and miss a second with you”, I said kissing him.
“I couldn’t agree more but we have the rest of our lives to blink and kiss there’s nothing left in our path”, he smiled.
“I searched so hard for just this moment”, I said running a hand through his locks of black hair.
“You don’t have to wait any longer”, he told me.
“But this world is incomplete and it needs fixing”, I said unsure.
“We have a lifetime to fix things”, he assured me.
“For this moment I think I’ll kiss you again”, I said with a smile.
“Do they live happily ever after?” Alex complained.
“What do you want?” I laughed looking up at him.
“I’m starving for attention”, he pouted.
“You’re lucky you’re cute”, I said closing my laptop.
“I am blessed in that way”, he agreed then kissed me and we started making out. We’d been cuddling on his bed for two hours now and I’d been writing for the whole time and petting Alex who was lying across our legs. I fed Alex earlier and he was getting a massage so he was happy. We were kissing when someone cleared their throat.
“Hello Mr. Hallaway”, I said sitting down on the other side of the bed again.
“It’s Gregg at home”, Mr. Hallaway said with a smile, “so what are you kids up to?”
“I was just working on one of my stories”, I said quickly.
“Oh really which one was it?” he asked interested.
“Bring Me to Life it’s about alternate plains”, I explained.
“Like heaven and hell”, he asked fascinated.
“No more like dimension plains like realms kind of”, I said puzzled.
“Really are there demons or other super naturals in them”, he asked sitting down on the edge of the bed.
“Yeah there’s demons on the plain she ends up on”, I said uncertainly.
“Sounds scary how are things going in your other classes at school?” he said curiously.
“Great I’m getting a few awards”, I said cheerfully.
“You know how I was glad you two were getting along”, Alex said coolly.
“Yeah”, we both said automatically.
“I’m over it”, he said and I rolled my eyes then kissed him on the cheek, “I feel a bit better”.
