I met Baxton at the door to his house, excitedly squeezing his shorter frame into a hug as he laughed and hugged me back. Spinning through the doorway I pulled him into his own home, worriedly checking his wrist. "You said in the chat that you bruised yourself during archery, are you okay?!"
"Oh that's right, I keep forgetting you're in there now," he chuckled nervously as he took his hand out of my grasp. "Yes I'm fine, just being a bit over-dramatic.." I raised my eyebrow as he lead me to his room, which wouldn't be complete without the books and sketch journals with art supplies scattering the floor and his desk. "Sorry it's so much of a mess in here, I keep forgetting to clean. And I've gotta get a better setup since I can actually use my laptop to draw again," he rambled as he moved the books and items into neater stacks, clearing more of the room. I nodded along, eyes focused on the computer.
"Can I finally get to see more of your stuff~?" I asked hopefully, stepping near the desk. Baxton shrugged and joined me, leaning over to unlock the device.
"I don't have a whole lot complete but I guess I have a few work in progress things you can see," he replied coolly. If I hadn't known him as well as I do I would've missed the nervousness in his tone and movements, which I understood perfectly as he was sharing his efforts with me after barely beginning to draw again. I kneeled on the floor and sat up, resting my arms on the wood. Baxton side-eyed me carefully, an amused half smile gracing his lips. "You know you can use the chair right?"
"I like the floor," I responded with a grin and shrug.
"Well alright I guess, but it's still there for you," he chuckled, some of his nervousness vanishing for a moment. I leaned forward to gaze at the screen, taking in the mostly messy sketches with curious interest. Noticing a semi-familiar character, I pointed it out to him.
"Is that Hank?"
"Ah, yeah!" he replied, happy I could recognize someone from the game we'd soon be watching. "I'm trying to practice a few different faces, so yeah." I smiled brightly as he moved the laptop back towards him and opened up YouTube, pulling up a video of a YouTuber named Jack SepticEye and beckoning me to join him leaning against his bed. I quickly joined him, giving my own thoughts on the development of the story and Jack's choices in the story. Baxton, despite having already watched the play-through, laughed at my comments and kept most of his attention on the story, warning me when Jack made a wrong choice in the story.
A/N
This is getting long and I'd like to have a few chapters of it instead of a big long hard to read one. Names are false of course, and I'm making up the story with one of my friend's personality.
