The wrong thing

She shut her laptop with a sigh after telling her friend she was getting off for the night, leaning back in her chair. It wasn't fair to blame them for her current mood and she knew that, but something they had said had just rubbed her completely the wrong way. She hoped her mood swing had gone unnoticed, and with any luck her friend would think nothing of it. She had been working so hard on an edit (not everyone can be an artist, after all) that was barely halfway complete but already far harder than most, and her friend had barely batted an eye, typing a simple "ye, nice" before moving on.

While the female knew her friend meant nothing by it this response was what she'd received from everyone she'd excitedly sent it to, and she almost regretted even bringing up her progress. Even her editor friends had just said that it looked okay so far. "Okay" was not what she wanted or felt, and as she let her head hang in defeat she returned to her laptop once again, starting up her program to continue the tedious work. Sometimes , she knew, people just find the wrong thing to say.

A/N hey, long time no see! Just a small half-vent thing for my frustration; I hope you're all doing well!
