Remembering Moments

Lying

        So Falling asleep with Luke was like the best thing imaginable. We didn't do anything bad. Cuddling was enough contact to make me feel alive. Everything was different with Luke than it was with Ashton. He was hiding something, and hurting himself because of me. Luke was supporting me instead of having a little pity party for himself. I know Ashton wasn't trying to seem that way, but it really came off that way. Sleeping with Luke was amazing, but waking up to his mother calling you a whore wasn't too nice.

        "Wake up you two! Why is she in our house Luke?" His mother threw the blankets off of us as if she expected to find us naked or something. I was horrified to realize that I had wiggled out of my shorts once again. I really had to learn to stop doing that. Ezpecially in these situations. I got up and quickly slipped them on, blushing and not making eye contact with Luke.

        "I'm sorry. We were watching movies and fell asleep. I'll be leaving now." She avoided talking to me and instead turned to face Luke.

        "What's this Luke? I find you and her on the couch and she's missing her pants? So now she's taken your virginity? And you're okay with that Luke." I had to step in. I wouldn't let her tell people Luke and I had sex.

        "Maam... I'm sorry and I shouldn't be here. But you should know that your son and I simply layed together. Neither of us have ever done anything, so pleae don't think worse than it is." My voice shook even though I was trying to be calm. How dare she try to tell me that I wasn't a virgin.

        "Luke, is this true? You two didn't do anything?"

        "Yes mom... I mean no mom... Ugh I mean it is true. We did nothing together. Just a sleepover like we used to have."

        "Things have changed Luke. She doesn't care about you anymore." Great. So now I was some heartless brat that liked to play with her son just to do it.

        "Mom. She does care about me"

        "And how could you know? She barely remembered you the other day!" They were both talking about me like I wasn't in the room anymore.

        "She told me mom. Last night. I know she cares because she's never lied to me and so there's no reason to believe that she's lying now." I stood in shock as her face turned from pity to anger and she looked at me, her eyes killing me a hundred times over. "I don't care if you like it or not, I love her,, and I will continue to talk to her, even if she doesn't feel the same way." His mom's eyes went from me to Luke, and I was tired of staying silent. I had to say something before the two of them decided to kick me out. I loved lLuke too, It wasn't the best circumstances to tell him, but he had to know before his mom convinced him that I didn't.

        "I do Luke." My voice was quiet, but they both heard me as their heads snapped to the corner off the room. I think they forgot I had been there. "I don't care if you want to believe it or not, but it's true. I love you." I hadn't even told that to Ashton since the coma, and here I was telling Luke. The difference was, I was positive that I loved Luke, but with Ashton, I want't sure. How could I love someone that lied to me like he did?

        "You love me Amethyst?" His eyes were focused on mine, and I didn't dare to look away. I nodded.

        "I love you Luke." He rushed over to me as his lips crashed into mine again, this time he didn't seem afraid that I would push him away. I wouldn't. We had completely forgot that his mom was in the room until we heard a cough from where she stood.

        "If you want to believe this little brat, I don't care. But don't come crying to me when she breaks your heart. And by the way, I don't want you two in my house together. She can go be a slut somewhere else. Luke nodded and we both just left. We didn't say anything to eachother, we just walked out the front door and headed down the street. As we were walking, I read a text on my phone, ignoring the five missed calls from ashton.
