Olivia"You're crazy to even say that," Miles shakes his head, but keeps his eyes on the road. As soon as the movie ended we left the theater and began the drive back home.
"I don't understand why everyone gets so hostile when I say that I'm a cat person." I shrug. Cats get no love in this society.
"Because Olivia, and I'll only explain this once. In a world that is so violent and as hostile as ours, we must appreciate the beautiful creatures that are dogs. To waste that love on an evil cat is just preposterous." I look at him in shock. This is definitely the longest sentence he has ever spoken to me, and the fact that it was about his love for dogs makes the butterflies in my stomach do jumping jacks. He is so cute, I can't even look at him.
"You realize how ridiculous that is right?" I laugh. I'm so glad that most of this date has consisted of laughter instead of yelling.
"Everything I just said was pure facts. I'm sorry your cat loving brain can't see that." His amazingly beautiful smile widens. I love his smile.
We laugh together for a bit and I can't help but admire the crinkles next to his eyes when he laughs. There was a point when we first met where I thought I'd never see him genuinely smile, let alone laugh. I couldn't be more happier that I was wrong.
When we pull up to my house, I noticed my father's car still parked in front, and my mood dims slightly. I sit back in my seat, not yet ready to end the night. How could I know that he will still be acting this way tomorrow? What if he starts acting like a jerk again the next time I see him? I turn to him and he's already looking at me, with this look I can't even describe. We stare at eachother for only seconds before I turn into a crazy animal.
With a burst of boldness or whatever you want to call it I grab the front of his shirt and pull him towards me until my lips attach to his. Wow, I have become the girl that kisses on the first date. What are morals because I don't have any?
He is caught off guard and honestly so am I. After the initial shock, he sighs into the kiss and rests his hand on the back of my neck, pulling me closer. There is nothing rough about the kiss. It is sweet and slow and just...perfect. Something I never thought Miles was capable of doing.
After a few seconds I push slightly back to ask a question. "You're not going to go back to being mean to me again after tonight, are you?" I ask, my eyes still flickering back and forth from his luscious lips to his threatening eyes. His beautiful freaking eyes.
"Keep kissing me and I will treat you like a literal princess everyday," I can't help but laugh a very short lived laugh before he reattaches our lips. I get lost in his touch and start to feel as if I am floating with each brush of our lips. After a few seconds he is the one to slightly push back.
no no come back
"You don't have a boyfriend right?" He asks me, looking completely serious but I cant help the scoff that leaves my throat.
"You're joking, right haha? You don't think you should have asked that before taking me on a date?" I joke, but he is still looking all too serious. "Of course I don't have a boyfriend! Why would you ask me that?" I lean back completely away from him, pressing my back against the seat. My lips still tingle, but that quick I'm turned off.
"No reason, I just realized I never asked," He says as if he's trying to convince himself as well as me. I am really never going to understand this boy. How can someone so infuriating attract me so much? I must really love toxic situations.
"Okay well...-"
"I definitely just ruined the moment just then, " He leans backs in his seat, releases a huge sigh and roughly shoves his hand through his wild hair with a evident look of aggravation.
