Dedicated to shikhashar
Chris looked at himself in front of the vanity mirror. He loved the look he saw and he couldn't help but smile at himself. He looked handsome, and no one could tell him otherwise. With his black pants and white shirt.
He didn't want to over dress or under dress for his dinner date. Dinner. That was something that he hadn't done in a long time. And now, here he was, all dressed and ready to meet his queen. His love of his life. What more could he ask for?
Chris moved from the mirror, to the shoe rank that stood on his left. He looked for a shoe that he could wear and he settled himself on black shoes. Wearing them, he looked around to see what was left behind. And that's when he landed himself on his wrist watch that rested on the night stand.
After he checked everything, he took his spare key and moved towards the door. He had wasted so much time in that room and he didn't want to be more late. When he walked to the living room, it was empty. No sign of his dear wife around.
It's not that he was looking for her but of late, he saw less for her. It's like she was avoiding them or something. He admits, that he made made it clear for her to stay out of his sight when they returned from that night club when they come back, but he never meant for her to never show herself to him.
It had been three days since the came to their 'honeymoon'. And three days since that scene that he and Kimberly had caused. Maya had made sure that if he saw her was when she was sleeping on the couch as he had told her when he returned from the club and found her sitting on the same spot that he had left her.
In a way, he had felt sorry for her. He was even worried if she had moved a muscle from that spot but he got the answer when he saw she was changed. With her sweatpants and tee shirt. That was enough for him to know that she had showered.
He asked her to be sleeping on the couch as he, he took the bed. Maya said nothing to him as she walked to the couch. Not even a thank you and he had to admit, it hurt his ego. From that day, she said nothing to him. But what could she say? He was always out by 4am to go for jogging and when he comes back to take a shower, he finds a mug of coffee and cold juice on the kitchen island with no sign of Maya.
Of course, he takes none of them and the rest of the day, he spends it with Kimberly. Making him come late in the room to find Maya asleep. Now, he had no idea where she had gone to. He pushed the thought of her aside as he closed the door. He had to be thinking of another woman and not Maya. His love. His angel. The love of his life.
Spending time with Kimberly was the best. They visited every place that he had planned for them to visit everyday. He saw beautiful scenery but none compered to the beauty beside him. When they were tired of going anywhere, they would spend time together in her room. Playing all kinda childish games and talking till late night. It was fun. And he was going to miss all that when they went back home.
Chris moved to the restaurant side of the hotel where he was greeted by a nice lady who stood at the door way. Her smile was something be he had gotten used to from all ladies. A flatterers smile. But there was only one lady, one that never game him that smile. One that when she smiled, it never reached her eyes. That one, that seemed she could live without his charm around.
"I preserved a table for two early," he said to the lady.
The lady kept on smiling at him, "At the balcony side," she said looking at the book she was holding, "there is only two tables at it and yours is on the left."
Chris gave her his most charming smile that had her all red on her cheeks. He said thanks as he moved towards the door that lead him outside.
"You're most welcomed, Sir," He heard her shout behind his back.
Chris walked out to the balcony and he couldn't help but fall in love with the sight. It was so beautiful behold his own imagination. There was no light and the only one they depended on was the one from the other building. The table were two and he had been told.
Everything was set perfect but something caught his eye. The lady that was standing at the balcony, with her hands up in the air. Her hair was being blown away by the wind that was flowing on the outside.
Chris moved towards her think of what to say. I mean, he was late and Kimberly was already there, waiting for him. If there was something that Kimberly hates is to be late. So Chris was in for a hot soup.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned so as place his chin on her head. He was tall than her so that wasn't so hard to do.
"I can see it's freeze and shine," he said kissing her head, "you know, you could get cold," he tried to explain before coming up with an answer to give when she asked why he was late.
The hands that where up in the sky were now down to where his were. They were cold and he shivered at her touch. He didn't know it was out of cold or something else. She was trying to get his hands out of her waist.
"You're so cold," he said holding his hands tight. She felt so good and he didn't want to let her go. "Don't fight in my love," he said moving side so that he could peck her cheeks.
He didn't know why, but Kimberly's cheeks felt more smooth than normal and he didn't want to finish the peck. He hadn't kissed those lips of hers and he missed them already. He turned her around with her still resisting.
"Please, stop fighting it," he said while his eyes closed when he turned her.
He moved his hand from her waist to her face. It was so soft that he wanted to stay all night doing that. Feeling like he was holding a cotton. His finger moved to her parted lips. He couldn't hold himself any longer.
His lips were on hers and he felt shiver when they connected. Something was definitely different with the way Kimberly was behaving today. First, she didn't move her lips which was something new to him. She was always the one going for it and today, she was acting like she has no experience in kissing.
He didn't give up as he continued to attack her lips. He wanted more so he pinched her on her waist which she eased taking the opportunity to let his tongue to slide inside. He rolled his tongue with hers as he deepened the kiss. She tasted so sweet and the more he wanted her.
He pulled he close enjoying the way she kissed him back. He smiled as he moved his hand to her butt. She was doing more than what he wanted her to do to him. That feeling, he had felt it before. Not with Kimberly but with...
"What the hell is going on here?"
That voice, he knew it. He had gotten used to it not once but many times. It was hers. He pulled away opening his eyes to look at the own of the voice. Of course, it was hers.
Kimberly.
She stood at the double door with her face fuming. The light from inside illuminating the outside. He took the chance to turn around to see the lady that he was kissing. And there she stood. All shocked. Chris' eyes widen as his mind mentioned her name before his mouth piece could work.
Maya?
