Dedicated to deaththeoneandonly
Chris pulled out the file that he had been looking for for the past ten minutes out. In other days, he would have been frustrated and have his personal assistant look for it. But not today. Today was special to him. Today was the happiest day in his life if he could still remember an happy one since he met Maya.
Of course, hurting her did make him happy. Instead, it made him want more. He just guessed that's how it is with revenge. You do one mistake to revenge and you become addicted. Addicted to an extent of not thinking anything else apart from revenge. And that, that was something he never wanted to feel again. He had learned his lesson the hard way if you asked him.
Chris sat down and opened the file. He wanted to be sure that everything was okay before taking it. He was pleased with the document. He was pleased with himself too. He was happy. At last she forgave him and the smile in his face wasn't about to be wiped off.
Just then, the door opened and his friend walked in. He wore blue pants that reflected the color of his eyes. His black shirt could make him more handsome than he was. This made Chris travel down the line when they were still teenager.
They had become friends with Wesley when he saved him from bulling and they were in grade classes. From then, they had become friends but at first, Wesley was more of a bodyguard than a friend. Then, they got to know each other and they were all best friends.
In highschool, they're the popular guys along with other three guys which he hadn't seen in about five years now. The untouchable cute guys in highschool. Their group didn't involve bulling like all the popular people do.
That wasn't them since they all under gone it in their primary school. Either being bullied or saving a friend or a kid from it. So them being handsome as people called them, they had all the privilege to have all types of girls their way. But with Wesley, he just wanted one night stand and that was all. To him, committed wasn't his thing and that made Chris think that it was just in highschool.
But the guy never changed. He never got to any kinda a relationship with anyone and before he sleeps with any woman, he makes sure that she knows where she stands.
"With the way your grinning, I'm guessing things went well last night."
Wesley pulled a seat and kept on staring at his friend who was grinning like a fool. The last time he did that, well it was seven months ago. The day he kissed Maya on his stage. Yes Maya. The woman that he is married to and the one he accused of making his life a leaving hell.
That day he could stop himself from grinning as he told her how she felt like in his arms. His tongue in her mouth and him rubbing her inner lip. That had made Wesley thing that his friend had a boner thinking of the woman he had met at that time just for a few minutes.
Wesley had joked of looking for her and having a no strings attached relationship but the look Chris gave him was enough to say he was just joking. But to his surprise, Chris didn't take it lightly at all which left him wondering if he truly loved Kimberly as he made everyone else think.
Thinking of Maya, he also has to apologize. That girl trusted him like a big brother yet he let her down. He allowed her to wear the clothes that Kimberly had offered her during the fashion show without telling her she was the mistress of her husband. What else do you call a woman having an affair with a married man?
At that time he had only thought of what was good for the business. For once in his life he put money first over a human feelings. He did hurt her and he knew it. Then on their honeymoon, he didn't stop Chris from taking Kimberly along. It's not like he had any idea. He just found out late and that made him get mad at Chris.
