Reptilian rumours

Narcissa clasped her hands together and sighed, Draco was sitting in front of her with eager eyes, ready for the news she'd promised to bestow upon him. She looked down at her delicate fingers and smiled slightly, for they brought back the memories of last night when she'd run them up a wrinkly, leather-skinned thigh.

Oh how she longed for her lover when he wasn't around. She could envisage him now, hobbling about the kitchen with that fine elf arse of his, framed by the brand new silk pillowcase she'd gifted him. He was a such a vision.

"Mother," Said Draco, "You've gone awfully quiet. And..well, you're drooling."

She hastily wiped the saliva off her lips and sat beside her son, clasping his pale hands in her own. She gazed into his icy eyes, framed by locks of near-white hair, gosh all that inbreeding had resulted in a rather peculiar colour palate, but she found him beautiful nonetheless.

"My dear, I'm afraid things are due to change around here." She began tenderly.

"You're telling me! We've had those curtains in the front room for years, and mother, De masque print is so last season!"

"No, Draco. That's not what I meant."

He looked at her questioningly. She'd never imagined how hard it would be to tell her son his father had run off with an actual snake whilst she was busy sleeping with a house-elf, but life is  like that.

She sighed heavily. "Your father has been engaging in some..distasteful activity."

"If you're talking about the gillyweed I already know, and besides he's only using it casually, the bong is the safest way to-"

"Draco! Listen to me, please. Your father has been seduced by another."

"I knew Grayback had a thing for him! It was the grunting that gave it away-"

"Not Grayback!" Narcissa pinched the bridge of her nose in defeat. "Nagini."

Draco sucked in a sharp breath, "you mean like...the snake?"

She nodded. "I'm afraid so."

There was a tense stillness while each was absorbed in their own thoughts. Narcissa pondered whether or not to impose her relationship with Dobby onto Draco so soon, while Draco wondered how bad you had to be at sex to lose your husband to a reptile.

"I'm sorry mother, I can see you're quite distressed. Shall I leave you?"

She didn't respond, still caught up in her own thoughts she closed her eyes and rested her head in her hands.

"Is that a yes?"

She said nothing.

"I'm going to take it as one. If you don't mind."

Still, no response.

"Okay, well, I'm actually going now so."

Silence. Draco slipped out the door and left her there, perhaps she sat there for hours, he wasn't sure, for he was busy devising a plan of his own..

a plan for revenge.
