Chapter 20

Austin's P.O.V

Be afraid that would be more than understandable at least in my situation, the police doesn't scare me but It does what Emma could think about me. A few years ago I made a couple of mistakes that led me to have a record in the police and well, I have my own file.

"Why is the police following us!?" Emma yelled.

"I don't know!" I said nervously.

"Stop the car!" She yelled.

"Okay but calm down Emma, remember the breath issues you have? You gotta stay calm okay?" I said trying to relax her and she nodded.

I quickly parked the car where I could. I lowered my car window and a policeman approached.

"Is there any problem sir?" I said politely. The policeman looked at Emma and then looked at me.

"Yes, you skipped a traffic light, I'll have to ask you follow me to the police station" Said the police and nodded.

I began to follow his car and Emma was beyond nervous.

"How can you be so quiet Austin? We are gonna go to jail!" She said dramatically.

"Emma calm down, we aren't going to jail I promise" I said laughing. "Stay calm please" I said as I caressed her tight. Somehow I thought she was going to dug her nails on my hand again or yell at me but no, she just looked more calm. Perfect.

Finally we arrived at the police station, we walked in and the policeman directed us to a room where there was another policeman.We sat in the chairs and I don't know why but Emma grabbed my hand and I loved her hands they were so tiny and fragile.

"So see who we have here, Austin Carter Mahone, 21 years and.." The policeman said. "Emma Michelle Gomez, 18" He said.

"Ca-can we go h-home please" Said Emma obviously nervous.

"First we gotta make to Mr. Mahone a drug test" He said.

"What, why?" She said.

Oh fuuuuck..

"Mr. Mahone has a history with LSD and Marijuana. We need to know that he's clean If he was stoned while he skipped the traffic light he could be in serious problems" He said.

I did the test that was pee in a bottle, ugh and how I was clean he let us go home. I wonder how the hell I'm gonna explain this to Emma. She's gonna freak out.

Emma's P.O.V

It turns out that Austin is 21, so it is so mature, I honestly thought I was 19 and looked buckled my lap thinking about all this. Austin was a drogadict? He doesn't look like one to be honest but it kind of scared me being in the same car as a drogadict. He had his own file, has he been on jail too? Too many questions.

Upon arriving at the motel Austin collapsed on the couch and I just stared at him, he looked angry. But why?

"So are you gonna tell me the drug thing?" I said.

"Leave me alone please" He said rubbing his face up and down in a frustrated mode.

"But why can't you just expl-"

"EMMA I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? FUCK!" He yelled at me, he grabbed his car keys and walked throught the door and I hear a loud slam.

I never saw Austin this angry, normally he's always happy and friendly. Maybe I shouldn't judge, maybe he had his reasons. Suddenly for some reason I began to cry. Shit. When I cry I don't have a clear mind, what's wrong with me? I decided to call Alexa, she knows all about boys and I need to ask her a few things.

"Hello?" She said throught the phone.

"Emma is that you? Why are you crying?" Oh she knows me so well.

"I had a fight with Austin" I said.

"Did he hurt you? Emma just call the cops and they will-"

"No no he just yelled at me.. but actually I have a lot of things to tell you that happened" I said.

I started to tell Alexa all the police station thing, the thing of Austin and the drugs, I also told her that I am feeling weird things with Austin and I got jealous, not to mention the behavior that Austin has with me. Everything is so confusing and complicated to me in this situation. I'm a mess.

"Emma the thing is that it's obvious that Austin likes you that's for sure and he will totally tell you what's up with the drugs thing so just wait" She said.

"Okay" I said softly.

"And the jealous thing? That's very simple Emma I don't know how you didn't notice"

"What do you mean?" I said.

"Because you love him"
