Chapter 25

Emma's P.O.V

Austin stared at me, waiting for a response or interaction. My parted lips and no sound came from them, I gathered my lips into a thin line and started playing with my tiny hands. Austin captured both my hands in his that were big enough for me.

Well this is awkward.

"Emma what I'm trying-" He said but I cut off him by buckling my belt quickly.

"Didn't we have to go to your grandma's place?" I murmur.

"Yes" He breathed.

I looked out the window as Austin started the engine. Looking by the corner of my eye I saw that Austin had a look on his face I've never seen, not even when we fought.

Pain.

His face was a mixture of pain, sadness and anger, a very bad combination. I don't want him to be mad at me and stop being friends but I have never had a boyfriend that is a shock to me and he has to understand even If is this way.

I awoke shaken by someone. I opened my eyes slowly adjusting to the light and looked to my left, only to see Austin.

"Morning" I said unbuckling my seat belt.

"We are at my grandma's" Said Austin with a serious face along with a serious tone and not smile. No smile oh crap, I've's mad at me. Austin got out and slammed the car door abruptly. I left the car and grabbed my bag but Austin grabbed my hands.

"Austin, I can with my suitcase" I said.

"No" He said in that serious tone again and walked towards the front door, I walked behind quickly. I took a look to the houses around, all the houses were very quaint and beautiful.

Awe.

The front door was opened by a beautiul old ladie, this has to be Austin's grandmother.

"Oh my god Austin" She wrapped her arms around Austin and kissing all over his face and It was so cute.

"Look at you, you're so grow up" She said looking up and down at Austin.

"Mema, you saw me last year" He said with a shy smile. Then she looked at me and grinned from ear to ear and walked towards me.

"Aw who's this beautiful girl Austin? Is your girlfriend?" She said and I blushed.

"No Mema this is Emma, she's a friend" He said with a blank stare looking at me.

"Good to meet you..?" I said.

"Mema, call me Mema darling" She said and she gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Sweetie, you can sleep in the guest room If you-" Mema was cut off by Austin.

"No mema, we'll sleep in my room. We have to talk and things" Hesaid staring at me and Mema looked at him confused.

"As you please, Austin show her your room " Said Mema smiling and Austin nodded. I followed him and we went into his room. It was a nice and ordinary room for a teenager.

"Make yourself at home, I'll be downstairs helping Mema" Said Austin avoiding my eyes. I simply nodded and Austin was closing the door behind him.

I sat on Austin's bed admiring his room it was so him. There were many things of skate, many posters of skaters I have seen before. I decided to grab some clothes and take a quick shower on Austin's shower.

When I got out of the shower I went into the kitchen dowstairs, the kitchen door was ajar and I found strange. I looked in the little open space in the door only to see Austin and Mema talking while taking a drink.

"Are you sure this girl isn't your girlfriend Austin? She's beautiful" Mema said.

"I wish, I really wish Mema" Said Austin.

"Oh, I knew it you liked her"

"How so?" Austin raised his eyebrows.

"Because I know you don't pass many time with girls unless you like them Austin" She said matter of factly.

"True" He grinned.

"And why aren't you 2 together?" She said. "It is because of sex? Austin you know you're mature enough-"

"Mema!" He exclaimed and I found myself blushing like a lot.

"Mema is not that, she doesn't seem to.. Like me" He explained.

"Hmm?" She hummed.

"I think she hates me"
