Chapter 22

Emma's P.O.V

I found myself laying in bed smiling like an idiot because of the kiss. Tonight I've thought clearly and I really like Austin, it's hard to deny. I got up and went to the kitchen and at the table Austin was drinking a Starbucks accompanied by a donut. I saw a starbucks bag and another starbucks on my seat.

"I'm hoping that's for me because I'm so hungry" I said I sat down on the chair.

"Of course, It's not like I'm a whale" He said.

"Oh yeah" I said in a sarcastic tone. I began to eat the donut as Austin stared at me.

"Did you sleep well? You fell sleep in my shoulder last night" He chuckled.

"Did you carry me to bed?" I said surprised.

"Of course"

Oh.

"Well thank you" I said as I took a sip of my frapuccino, this is heaven.

"I have information about Jacob" He said running his hands throught his soft hair.

"Oh, tell me" I said.

"He's on the outskirts of New York, so far from here. We will need 2 days to drive to a small village where my grandmother lives and we can stay a few days in her house, I owe her a visit and my grandmother won't care, actually she likes the company because she lives alone" He said.

"Poor her she shouldn't live alone" I said frowning.

"I know right but she likes to live alone with her cat. So you gotta pack again because we will go tomorrow morning"

"And after stay in your grandmother's place? We will go to Jacob's?" I said.

"Yeah, we will but hey we have the day free, what do you want to do?" He said capturing his lip with his teeth.

"Let's go to skate"

Austin's facial expression when the words came out of my mouth was princeless, he was surprised by my sudden words.

"Do you want to skate too?" He said with a smirk.

"No I actually wanted to see you skate-"

"You gonna get on my skate and you will skate" He said all bossy.

"No Austin, I'm serious" I said.

"Yes you will get on that damn skate" He said.

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

You're annoying.

"Yes, I said yes and you will" Woah when did he get this bossy.

"Fine but If I hurt myself It's your fault" I said crossing my arms over my chest.

"Break a fingernail doesn't count" He raised an eyebrow at me.

I rolled my eyes.

"Don't you dare to roll your eyes at me" He warned.

"Whatever Mahone"

Even If I like him I find him extremely annoying sometimes.

The skatepark was scary to be honest. There was a bar, two small ramps, a normal ramp and a giant ramp. Austin was rolling his skate up and down the big ramp. I was getting dizzy just thinking that Austin wants me to skate, how does he wants to keep me on a skateboard if even can wear heels without falling?

Austin was seemed very focused on what he was doing, maybe he has forgotten. Austin stopped and put the skate in front of me.

Shit, why do I talk?

"No" I whined like a baby, Austin took off my jacket and threw it to the side with a smirk on his face.

"If you fall I'll catch you" He said.

I hope he's not lying because I will hit him If I fall I swear.

Austin grabbed both of my arms and placed them on his shoulders. "Hold on to me, if the skate rolls away I'm your only lifeline" He said as he placed his hands on my tiny waist.

When he squeezed my waist I blushed, If I wasn't this pale I wouldn't care but when I blush It notices a lot.

"Now I want you to put your left foot a little beyond the center of the skate and use the other to impulse yourself slowly" He said looking at me while I looked to my foot.

I did as he told me and he removed his arms from my waist. And rather than lean on his shoulders he took my two hands grabbing them and I couldn't believe but I was skating.

"See? You didn't fall and It's not that difficult" He said looking down at me. "You're still pretty short to me even in this skate"

I got off the skate and I went to the bench and sat down, Austin followed and sat next to me.

"But short girls are way better, at least for my taste" He said.

"Why?"

"Because they are tiny I mean, short girls are so cute" He stand up and grabbed both my arms making me get up, he wrapped his arms around my neck as he placed his chin on the top of my head. "And I love to hug short people"

"A-Austin" I said remembering the question.

"Tell me baby"

"Why did you kiss me?" I said and he stayed in silence, I waited his response.

"It's difficult" He said.

"What? Difficult to what?"

"To explain" He finished. "You just wouldn't understand"

I would If you tried to explain to me. Ugh.

We stayed like that hugging each other, Austin was warm to be honest and my hands were cold as hell. He pulled from the hug looking at me with his head to the side.

"Are you a coca cola?" He said.

"What?" I said frowning.

"Because you're so-da-licious" He said with a smirk.

"Oh god you're so silly" I said blushing.

He grabbed both of my cheeks and got closer to my face. "Oh someone's blushing?" And I shook my head. "What If I make you blush more?"

"Wait what-"

I got cut off by Austin pecking my lips twice, softly and gently. But then he crashed his lips on mine capturing my bottom lip like he did the first time, our lips moving in a sync. I felt that little rush of energy inside me and I swear I felt sparks and butterflies in my stomach.

I wish Austin liked me the way I do.
