matts POV
I woke up to the sound of beeping noises.
I sat up to realize I was in a hospital bed and I started to panic.
I looked around frantically and noticed I had payton asleep In the chair next to the bed and IVs in my right arm.
"matthew, hi" a nurse rushed into the room.
"I'm Katie!" she was very bubbly. "how are you feeling?"
"confused" I spoke.
"that's okay! you just regained consciousness silly" she was kind of annoying.
"oh... when will I be leaving?" I asked
"well, understanding the circumstances, probably 2 days" Katie checked the paperwork. "then you'll be as free as a bird!"
umm...
"okay...great" I lied back down.
before I knew it, I was drifting to sleep. I woke up about an hour later to payton tapping me.
"hey baby" she mouthed, only letting very small sounds escape her lips.
I smirked, "hi babe",
"how are you feeling?" she asked, still using a quiet tone
"better, my head still hurts though" I said. I slided over to the left "lay with me"
she lied next to me and cuddled in my shirt.
"how's Shawn" I asked,
"eh, he's okay" she said "but still unconscious"
"listen I'm really sorry abou-"
before I could finish she kissed me.
"it's okay..." she smiled.
