<School Exams are finally over! Phew!>

Ugh, what was I supposed to do now!? I told Reina that I wasn't going to the dance with anyone but I still have to go with Megan. Besides, if I didn't go with Megan, she will just cause a lot of fuss and I feel like the relationship with me and Reina will be messed up again. *sigh*

As I walked home, I couldn't help but replay my afternoon with Reina over and over again. I just kept on smiling like an idiot, I just couldn't help it. Just as I was about to replay the memory one more, my phone buzzed. It was a text from Megan, which read, 'Since we're going to the dance together, let's go shopping for matching outfits tomorrow!' I hesitated. Shopping with Megan. Tomorrow... nope, no way! I thought in my head. Instead of replying to her text, I just ignored it and stuffed my phone back in my pocket.

Then came another text from Megan, "I was thinking, we should have a color theme, maybe pink? Or turquoize!" I ignored that one too. Then came another, then another. I probably got 6 texts per minute. Irritated, I finally took out my phone and read all of her messages...

Which color do you want?

can we go with pink?

hello?

fine, we're going with pink

tomorrow, meet you at the mall entrance

1 pm

see you then!

😘

I rolled my eyes, and replied back, 'fine'. It was just one day with Megan, how bad can it be? Besides, I just wanted this whole thing to be done with, the outfit-shopping, the dance, Megan.

Next day, 12:30 pm...

As I finished up lunch I groaned to myself, every minute it got closer to 1 pm, I kept on moaning and regretting that I agreed to go shopping with her. I pulled on a pair of jeans and grey hoodie and looked myself in the mirror and sighed. My hair was all over the place, a mess. I grabbed my barely-used brush and started to comb because Megan would get upset if I looked "pathetic". As I combed my hair to the side, I murmured to myself about how stupid I was to put up with Megan in the first place. 12:45 pm, I started to head out the door. I looked down at my phone, and saw that I had a text from Reina, which said, 'Which color do you think looks better on me, turquoize or navy?' I smiled and my ears turned burning hot. Reina had asked me for my opinion!! I thought it over, turquoize or navy? I've never seen her wear the color turquoize before, but I've seen her in navy a few times, and it suited her, so I decided to go with navy.

'Navy, why'd you ask?' I texted back. As I sent her the text, from a distance, I heard someone call my name. I looked up. Megan. She was waving at me. My cheerful feelings became dull.  Ugh, reality sets in. I go up to her, hoping she wouldn't start complaining about my looks. She looked at me, head to toe and raised her eyebrows, but didn't say anything. She then took my arm and started to steer me into the mall. I tried to take my arm away from her, but she was holding my arm with a hard grip.

"So, where do you wanna go first? Do you want to go to Starbucks?" she started, with excitement in her voice. This immediately annoyed me. She thought we were on a date, she was 100% wrong. I pulled away from her and said that I only came to get outfits and that I was going home right after. Megan frowned and glared at me. I glared back. I wasn't going to lose to Megan, not today, never. After a few seconds of glaring at each other, Megan broke in and dragged me to the shop. The shop was filled with racks of infinite dresses and suits. Some dresses were just simple dresses, while others were covered with glitter and sequins. There was a shelf with all colored ties and accessories. At the back were 5 fitting rooms.

As we got to the shop, Megan went up to the counter and the person at the counter went into a closet with reserved dresses and brought out two dresses. Megan brought them to me and held it up for me to see it and asked which I think might suit her. One was a short hot pink dress with a bunch of diamond sequins on the brim of the dress. And the other one was a short turquoize dress covered with glitter and sparkle. Honestly, I didn't like either of them. I preferred simple dresses, not dresses that sparkle too much. I tried to choose my choice wisely. In the end, I just chose the turquoize dress, because I knew that I had to wear a matching suit and I was not going to wear anything pink.

Megan returned the pink dress and searched through some racks of dresses, for any other possibilities. I sat on a nearby bench and waited. She then went through the shelf with the ties and accessories and took some accessories with her bunch of dresses. She also took a few ties and handed them to me. Then she went to see the suits and tuxedoes. She took three suits and tuxes, they were black, navy, and grey. I took them with the ties and went into one of the fitting rooms and Megan went inside the one next to mine. I first tried on the grey tux, which was too tight. Then I put on the navy one and it actually looked not too bad on me, so I tested on one of the ties, a grey tie. I looked myself in the mirror and smiled, impressed. Not bad.

I stepped out of my fitting room and sat on a bench to wait for Megan. Then I remembered that I had texted Reina early, so I took out my phone. But then as I took out my phone, I heard the opening of a door of one of the fitting rooms and looked up, thinking it was Megan. But it wasn't Megan, it was another girl. Her back was facing towards me, but she was wearing a navy dress that was longer at the back than the front, with a thin gold belt. She turned around to face me. I was shocked, it was Reina! I didn't know what to do. I immediately looked down at my phone. I didn't want to act like a doofus around her, especially when she looked so beautiful.

I was looking down at my phone and I saw a text from Reina in the notifications that read, "I'm going dress shopping today, so I just needed some advice!"
