<Gosh, it's been so long! Darn school work~!>

"Umm Michael?", Reina's voice rang in my head. Her small and soft voice, felt as if it vibrated through my body to my heart, making my heart pump quicker. I could feel her breathe. I rested my nose on her shoulder, and I could smell it, her hair. A pleasant floral shampoo smell. My eyes, that were closed the whole time, finally opened and I was faced with reality.  Everyone on the dance floor was starring at us. Some seemed confused, while others were smiling romantically, but they were a couple of people glaring and raging with anger; Josh and Megan. I loosened my grip on Reina's waist and switched glances towards Megan then to Josh, not knowing what to do.

Megan just stormed off, dragging a high-school boy, she was previously flirting with, with her. I was relieved. I didn't have to hear Megan's awful screech. But now the problem was Josh. While everyone went back to their dancing and talking, Josh, Reina, and I just stood there. Josh's mad expression started to weaken up, into a lonely expression. His clenched fists loosened. Something about Josh's face made me guilty, I looked away and stared down at Reina. Even through the darkness, I could see her blushing. She was awkwardly fidgeting with her fingers, as she starred down. For some reason, seeing Reina being cute, made my heart less tense. I sighed and smiled a little bit.

Suddenly, I felt immense pain. Josh had swung his re-clenched fist to my cheek. With such pressure, I fell down on the ground. "Ow", was the only thought that ran through my head. Nothing else. It was dark for a while and in the distance, I heard Reina scream, "Michael!" I opened my eyes and there beside me was Reina sitting. "Michael! Micheal, are you ok!?" I felt devastated, weak, defeated. What was I thinking? Why did I ever think I could compete with a dude who was two years older than me? A dude who was smarter, stronger, and better at taking care of Reina. Part of me wanted to stand up and punch him back, but then the side which told me to run won. As I got up, I saw something white tucked into Reina's dress pocket. It was a piece of paper. Before getting to know what that piece of paper was, I ran. I dashed out of the gym. I just needed to get out of there. I might have looked pathetic doing it. I might've been seen as a weakling, but I didn't care. I just needed fresh air, too much was happening.

I ran outside to the track and ran one round. Running with tuxedo shoes sucked. Every step I took, I remembered. Everything about Reina. Her smile, her breathing, her smell, her cute dimples, her laughter, her voice. The more I remembered, the more I felt regretful. I can't let Josh keep this angel. I needed her. I deserved her. I jogged over to the track benches, sat down, and stared out into the distance. Then I heard the creak of the benches and turned around to where the sound came from. It was Reina. "There you are!" she said, breathlessly. In her hands were her high-heel shoes and she was panting. "I ran all around the school to look for you!" She exclaimed, her exhausted and concerned expression, turned into a sympathetic smile.

"S-sorry", I said awkwardly. I mean, what else was I supposed to say? I rubbed my injured cheek, as Reina came closer. She sat down next to me, stared off into the starry night, and stayed quiet for a while. I didn't know what to do, after what happened. So, I just looked up into the sky too.

After what seemed like forever, Reina asked, "Are you ok?"

"Huh?" I said, stupidly.

"Um, Josh. He punched you in the face, remember? Or are you conscious? Oh my gosh, we need to take you to the hospital, then!" she responded panicky, as she stood up in a hurry. I grabbed for her arm before she could run off to call an ambulance and pulled her down to sit down.

"I'm ok. I didn't hurt that much," I lied, as I tried to hold in my laughter. I loved it when Reina was worried, especially about me. She sat back down, her concerned face at ease. She then looked at me and examined my face. I felt my face turn hot. I tried to look away, but I couldn't handle it. I just stared down at Reina as she observed my punched cheek. I was too embarrassed about being beaten up by Josh, so before she could say anything about Josh's punch, I interrupted her with a question. "What's that in your pocket?"

She stuck her hand in her pocket and took the piece of paper, that I saw early, out. She clutched her hand on the piece of paper, hesitant to tell me what it was. "Uh, y-you don't have to tell what it is, if you don't want to," I said reassuringly.

She shook her head and began, "N-no, it's ok. I found this note in my pencil case the other day, but it didn't have a name, so I'm not sure who it came from." My eyes widened. It must be.

"Could you read it for me please?" I asked quietly.

"Um sure, but it's, sorta embarrassing," she said. Ya, it has to be. Trying not to blush I replied even quieter,

"Ya, it's ok." Besides, it was going to be more embarrassing for me than to her.

"Ok, here goes.  'Reina. Your hair, so soft and smooth. Your nose, so small and adorable. Your cheeks, always so rosy and pink. Your smile, so gentle and unresistable. Your laugh, so precious. Your eyes, always sparkling with passion. You are like the brightest blooming flower in a field. You are very special to me...'"

Yup, that was it. The note I gave her.

"Because you make me feel like the most special person alive," I said, finishing off the note. My glance that was towards the ground, slowly went up, towards Reina, who was unusually quiet. Reina seemed shocked, her eyes round and wide. Then a worried thought went through my mind, 'Oh no, I literally just confessed to her. Ah geez, I didn't plan this out. Wait, how about if Reina doesn't think the same way.'

Then, Reina smiled. Her cute little dimples showing. Her smile warmed my heart. I felt calm and relieved. I couldn't resist, but smile back at her.  We kept on smiling at each other. Reina's smile, I can keep on looking at, for ages.

Just then, unexpectedly. Reina leaned closer to me, to the point where I could feel her breath on my cheek. In a split second, I felt her lips peck at my cheek, lightly. I t was only for a second, but I was able to feel her soft and gentle lips on my cheeks. Flattered, I rubbed my cheek, which of course were blushing.

"Oh my gosh, your cheek hurts, right. Ah, so sorry, I completely forgot!" Reina said, with panic in her voice. She was blushing too. 'Hurt?' I thought to myself, 'Your kiss fixed my pain.'

There was just one final question I needed to ask. One last answer I needed to know...

"H-hey, do you like me?"
