Chapter 7: What's Your Dream?

Eren's POV

We reached the headquarters. I worry a bit about Erwin.

"Sir we didn't go far didn't we?", I asked.

"No. He's a skilled soldier.", he replied.

I nodded and sat on the stairways outside. I looked up at the sky.

I want to see the outside world. I don't want to die within these walls.

I looked at my friends behind me.

And so do they...

Letting out a sigh, I leaned my head at a wall and closed my eyes, tired...

Levi's POV

I wanted to talk to Eren so I looked for him. I saw him outside, sitting and leaning against the wall with his eyes closed. I walked silently towards him.

"Hey, you sleepin'?", I asked.

He opened his eyes. "No. Just thinking.", he said.

"Good. I wanted to have a little talk. No insulting each other this time."

"Okay... What is it?"

"I was wondering..."

"Yeah?"

"What is... What is your dream?"

"Oh? Why'd you ask?"

"I'm curious."

"Well. I want to kill all the titans. And be able to see the outside world with my friends... And you... Captain."

"Oh... That's nice."

"What about you sir?"

"I don't know yet."

"How come?"

"My old squad. They were the ones who I imagined to be in my dreams..."

"Well you have us now Sir."

"Hm?"

"Make new memories with us."

I showed a slight smile then ruffled Eren' hair.

"Kid...", I continued.

"Hm?"

"You got my respect."

"Why's that?"

"You finally followed an order.", I joked.

"C'mon that's not funny!"

"Fine. The real reason is that you now have a strong faith in you. And I'm impressed."

He smiled and stood up.

"By the way. Where's Erwin?", he asked, looking around.

"Hanji said he already arrived."

"Ah I see."

I nodded slightly, stood up and walked to my chair, sipping my tea.

Eren was still outside, standing, looking outside.

Eren's POV

I became curious again and I headed towards Levi.

"Pardon me sir but may I ask one more question?", I asked.

"Proceed.", he replied.

"When will we... Kill all the titans?"

"That's a strange question..."

"Please! I'm desprate to know the answer!"

"All the titan shifter traitors have been eliminated. I guess it will be easy to kill the titans if we just have patience."

"Is there an exact time?!"

"I don't know. I'll ask Hanji."

"If that day comes sir..."

"Hm?"

"I want to fight along side you!"

"Why's that?"

"I feel safe with you. I feel like I can do anything!"

"Oh... I'm glad..."

"You... You are?"

"Yeah."

"Woah. I didn't expect you to care."

"I look heartless. But I'm really not."

"Heh. I can tell."

"Now go on! Clean up this floor. It's filthy!"

"Sigh you never change sir."

"And I would never."

I watched as Eren went and grabbed a broom then started sweeping. I chuckled softly under my breath.

I'm a proud captain...
Now I need to ask Hanji when that time will be..
Don't worry Eren. I'll stay by your side...
