Chapter 11: Eren....

Eren's POV

Trapped in a circle, the titans started ripping off parts of my titan body. I wasn't able to get out of the nape. If I do, I will immediately be titan food. I waited for back up.

Just then, a small hint of light appeared from outside. There was a small hole on the nape.

"L-Levi?", I muttered as the hole go bigger.

I heard no answer... I felt a small fear that it's a titan...

The nape opened completely and there I was, facing a titan. No scouts are at sight. The titan reached over at me. I felt chills down my spine.

Before it was able to grab me, Captain Levi came and cut its fingers off just in time. Seeing him made me relieved. He landed infront of me.

"Let's get you out of he--"

"Sir look out!"

Suddenly, a titan slapped Levi hard, sending him flying away. All the titans' attention was at me and not at Levi who is currently weakened.

The titans grew closer.... I was scared...

A titan grabbed me and put me closer to its face. I was frozen in fear. Tears sliding down my cheeks.

Is this it?

The titan opened its mouth and it put half of my body in it.

Yeah... It is...

I closed my eyes...

Levi's POV

I stood up after the fall, losing a few balance. I looked up and saw half of Eren's body in a titan's mouth.

"No.... Eren!!!", I shouted as I hooked at the titan's hand, hoping I can still slice it off in time.

Looking at Eren as I glide near, he gave out a smile. "Sir...", I hear him. "Do those favors please... I'd be dying peacefully if so.".

"Stop perdicting yo--", before i slashed the hand, the titan closed its mouth, leaving Eren's upper body the only parts he can move. His lower part is not bitten off but severly wounded. Looking once again at Eren, he was there silently crying as he looked at me.

I... Failed...

"S-sorry Eren."

"Sir... It was an honor to be at the squad..."

Before the titan even had a chance to eat Eren whole, I sliced the titan's hand off, catching Eren as he fell down from its grasp.

Eren was weak and barely breathing. Even if we manage to get him back inside the walls, I know he won't make it out alive. I burst into tears, looking at his siffering face. The pain he felt was unbearable. I can feel his tight hold on my shirt.

"Looks like t-this is i-it sir...", he said, still catching his breath. I went on my knees, hugging Eren.

"I'm sorry Eren! Please! Forgive me! D-don't let go please! You'll survive! You have to see one more sunrise Eren! Put yourself together!"

"I'm afraid I can't sir... Sir?"

"Y-yes?"

"Stay strong please..."

I felt his hold on me let go slowly as his body rest on me. I don't feel him breathing anymore... Is he?

Eren's POV

I rested myself on Levi and slowly lost my breath. I felt my body giving up. It was my last... I let out a smile as I closed my eyes.

I lastly said:

"Sir show me the ocean waves... It was nice being in your squad."

I let out my final breath, dying in Levi's arms...

Levi's POV

As I hear his last words, I burst into tears more. I hugged him tighter, ignoring all the surroubding titans. The steam around us was clearing.

Speaking of steams, I noticed that no single steam was coming out of his wound. I felt something I never felt before. Just in time, my squad came and landed right behind me.

"Sir?", Jean said, walking towards me. I didn't see Mikasa so I guess it's fine to tell for a while...

I just stayed there, knees on the ground with Eren in my arms. They walked closer.

"T-tell me... He's alive isn't he?", I said with a shaky voice.

"Who sir?", said Connie.

"E-E-Eren..."

They noticed me carrying a person at my arms and realized it was Eren. They gasped.

"His wounds aren't regenerating.", said Sasha.

"C'mon. He's alive right? Just resting...", I once again said.

"Sir. I'm sorry to say but he's gone.", Jean said softly as be walked nearer.

"N-no! He'll heal soon! He will!"

"But si--"

"He still needs to achieve his dream! He has to live!"

"Sir..."

They all fell silent, looking at me and Eren's body.

"He's not waking up sir.", Sasha said softly.

"Alright... I have to fulfill his favor then...", I said as I stood up but still have that sad feeling in my heart. My hold on Eren's body tightened. My gas and gear is no use now. I have to find the nearest ocean.

"Sir where will you go?"

"To the ocean waves Eren wanted to see..."

"Y-you need our help sir. Titans still aren't defeated."

"I can do it myself... If Erwin or Mikasa arrives, don't tell them about this..."

"Yes sir..."

I called my horse and it came sprinting towards us and I hop on it with Eren's body at my arms...
