Chapter 9: The Awakening

3rd person POV

It was like in a blink of an eye. One moment she was sitting in her office going through some patient's medical records and in the next, she was sitting on a bench by a park. She scanned her surrounding. She didn't recognise where she was. Her brows furrowed as she thought of reasons that would make sense why this would happen. After what she has been through, this kind of thing does not surprise her. Then it hit her. No... It could not be. It didn't make sense. Then, she saw a quick flash. It was fast but not too fast that she could realise that it was a human. It wasn't clear to her how he could run so fast. But back to the topic, how was she going to get back. She calmed herself first and decided to walk around and find how things had been. She knew that she will be able to go back, she always did... Right?

Yeon Na's POV

I looked at the 2 childish boys. After realising what was happening, I rolled my eyes. They were like having a staring competition. I roughly tugged both my hands making them release my hand off guard.

They both looked at me surprised. I glared at both at them and soothed my wrist as they were holding it very tightly.

"You two are so childish." I complained.

"Me too?" Jae Sang pointed at himself in disbelief. I nodded in respond.

"You!" I pointed at Seo Jun. "Stop harassing me. There's a reason I don't want to get back with you so stop it."

"And you!" I pointed at Jae Sang who still looked offended. "Stop wasting your time and come with me." I state before grabbing his wrist and walking away. I don't know if I was seeing things but was Jae Sang smiling?

"Where are we going?" Jae Sang asked while after we left Seo Jun.

"I have 10mins left on the timer." I stated as I headed for the girl's bathroom.

"How do you know that it is that long?" Jae Sang asked. It was a good question since I didn't tell him the full thing of how this works. I only told the origin and basics.

"Well, it starts counting down from about 30 mins, actually. I was planning on waiting in the girl's bathroom after placing my books down till that happened." I explained. He was about to open his mouth and ask again. I had an idea what he was going to ask and answered, "The first 20 plus minutes are like nothing. They don't affect me until the timer is below 10 minutes where there will be a tight felling around my wrist so there were many times where I did not realise that it was counting down."

I turned to see if he understood and I saw him nod with a understanding look.

When we reached the bathroom, I then realised that I was still holding his hand. I realised it and looked at him. "Um... Can you wait out here?" I wondered whether he may find it weird. Why would he need to wait for me? He could just leave.

"Of course. You sure you'll be fine?" he asked out of concern. I smiled and nodded.

"It's not the first time."

"Right."

"Where are we going now?" Jae Sang asked as we walked down the street.

"I don't know." I said. I told him "let's go" earlier when I didn't know where to go. Then, I heard a chuckle from behind.

"Come, there's this cafe I like to go to. It's just a bit far. Do you mind?" he asked for my consent and I checked my watch to see that it was still early so I nodded my head and he miled excitedly before, this time, grabbing my hand and leading the way. I felt my heart flutter a bit at the sudden skinship. Wait what the heck! Am I going crazy? What's wrong with me?
