Yeon Na's POV
"Have y'all found any clues or suspicious information?" Jae Sang's asked checking on our progress.
"No, not really." I replied disappointed but there was no response from Hye Rin.
We turned to look at her. She had her brows furrowed as she read the report very thoroughly. Suddenly, her eyes widen before she shouted happily. "I found something!" she exclaimed. We quickly moved to her, eager to find out what she had discovered.
"So its stated that the supposed culprit, Im Byung Hoon, confessed that he crashed your mum's car and fled afterwards. I find it a bit sketchy that he even ran in the first place if he was going to confess." she explained.
"So? He could have just thought of running away at first but then felt bad." Jae Sang reasoned with Hye Rin and I nodded along.
"Well, that could be true but what I found suspicious is the report about the CCTV footage." Hye Rin replies showing us the report. "Apparently the camera could catch the accident clearly but they never mentioned anything about the car plate of the culprit's car and the car plate number of the car that hit your mum's to match. I mean if the camera was so clear they could have been able to catch the car plate and make sure that what the culprit said was true. There's also nothing about the culprit's car."
"Well, I'm not so sure whether or not my friend still has the CCTV footage but I'll ask." I suggested. At least we were getting somewhere. I dialed up Jeong Uk for help and thankfully he answered.
Unfortunately, he isn't sure whether they still have it or not and apparently even he did, he could not give me a copy. I decided to ask him for the address and number of the man who confessed. It took a lot of begging and whining before he decided to give in.
Then, I got the text from him and we decided to call him first and plan B would be to meet him at his home. Of course, we would not like to go that far.
"Hello?" He answered.
"Err Hi Mr Im, I'm the daughter of Oh Yeon Joo, the victim of the car crash that involved you 9 years ago." I introduced myself.
There was a pause for a moment before he spoke. "Yes... what do you want?"
"Oh well I was hoping if I could talk to you to ask about what happened that-" before I could finish my sentence, the guy hang up on me.
Jae Sang and Hye Rin looked at me confused at why I didn't finish my sentence.
"He just hung up on me." I informed them, shocked myself.
"On to plan B then." Hye Rin announced getting up and gathering her stuff. "This will be fun."
"I'm following. No way y'all are going there without me." Jae Sang warned us while looking all serious.
"More like no way Yeon Na is going there without you." Hye Rin rolled her eyes while I elbowed her.
"Why? Are you jealous that I stole you bff?" Jae Sang teased.
"No, thank you. I'm good." Hye Rin raised her hands up as she headed out and we followed after.
The drive there made me nervous and excited to question this man. He's actions earlier made me even more suspicious of him.
When we reached, I banged on his door and it took a while before the door swinged open. A old man stood by the door watching us warily.
"Hi Mr Im. I'm the one you so rudely hung up on." I glared at him as I informed him about who I was.
Mr Im looked around panicky and stuck a knife out, swinging it around. "Get away from me! I've nothing to say!"
From shock, we moved back and frozed as we watch him swing the knife around. Jae Sang pulled both of us behind him.
"Sir, put the knife down and we can talk properly." Jae Sang attempted to calm the guy as he held his hand out to stop the man. Jae Sang stepped closer, lowering his hand. The man moved back before slashing the Jae Sang's torso in panic. I gasped in shock as I watch Jae Sang stumble back holding his stomach.
The old man drops the knife surprised by himself. He tried to run past us but I quickly grabbed his arm and twist it behind his back causing him bend backwards. I the kicked the back of his legs to make go down to the ground while Hye Rin went to Jae Sang's side to make sure he was okay. I looked back at Jae Sang worriedly. Hye Rin called the ambulance and police while I took out my belt and tied it around the man's wrist tightly causing him to wince. Then, Hye Rin and I swapped places. As she held him, I ran to Jae Sang, holding him as he sat on the ground.
Watching him injured like that was hurting my heart. He tried to smile to assure me but I couldn't help but tear up.
Luckily, the ambulance came soon enough and aided Jae Sang before sending him to the hospital. The police arrested the old man and took him to the station. Hye Rin and I followed the ambulance to the hospital.
"Stop crying, I'm fine." Jae Sang comforted me, wiping a tear from my face.
"You should worry about yourself first. Look what happened to you." I sobbed.
"I rather take the hit than if you did and it was not a very deep slash." Jae Sang assured again, holding onto my hand. I held onto that hand tightly as we were driven to the hospital.

3rd person's POV"Sir."
"What is it? Can't you see I'm busy." he scolded.
"Sorry, sir but he said it's urgent." the secretary informed and he glared, annoyed before grabbing the phone from the secretary.
"What is it?" he roared rudely.
"Boss, I'm sorry to disturb you but I got a call from Yeon Joo's daughter and she wants to know about what happened 9 years ago." Mr Im Byung Hoon informed nervously.
"And did you tell her?" he shouted into the phone.
"N-No No! Of course not boss. I hung up on her." Mr Im assured, his voice cracking up while doing so.
"Good. Do not say or do anything until I call you back." he ordered sternly.
"Yes, boss. Thank-" he abruptly hung up before Mr Im could thank him. He sank into his chair before picking up the tissue box on his table and tossing it across the office in anger.
