Just some fasting tips  for those who feel guilty after a binge because I know I do . I'm just going to remind you it is ok to mess up , it isn't called a journey for no reason . I mean have you ever been on a plane without turbulence? Or a boat without rocky waves? It's ok to feel guilty , up to a point . Please do not harm yourself over the thought of being 'perfect,' because that harm will get you no closer than you thought you weren't  before . You can move on after a binge even if you don't think you can :) Oh and don't fast for over 3 days. 

1. ALWAYS have water with you  (or maybe some tea or juice if you are on a detox.)

2 . Drink ice cold water when possible as it boosts the metabolism

3. If you feel hungry , drink some hot tea, it will suppress your appetite.

4. Caffeine pills  suppress your appetite as well. 

5 . Chew sugar free gum if you are having cravings

6. Take lots of naps if you need to . If you feel tired that's most likely because you are running on water and your body isn't used to this so take a nap if needed.

7 . Read . It will exercise your mind and keep you distracted.

8. Clean something . Better atmosphere ,better mindset .

9. Take a shower. 

10. Brush your teeth when you feel a craving. 

11. Cold bathes burn up to 599 calories , the colder the better.

12. Do some crunches

13. Do some yoga. 

14 . Take walks .

15. Try water enhancers ( you can find some 0 calorie ones if that matters to you) 

16 . Make a fasting journal and write how you feel before, after and  during the fast and the benefits of fasting.

17. Make a list of 'bad foods,' and periodically cross each one off the list and pledge not to eat them during the fast .

18. Shave

19. Make a to do list and complete all those tasks before falling asleep.

20. Try to stick to plain water. 

21. Dance like crazy to your favourite upbeat song.

22. Make and After-Fast list to slowly introduce foods back so that you don't just gain all the weight back.

23. If you are new to fasting try a juice fast then a tea fast then eventually fi you want to , a water fast .

24.  Think about how great it will be to accomplish your goal . The first goal of the year , just imagine the types of things you could do after this. 

25 . Write in your journal .

26. Go outside and admire the stars or the sun . 

27 . Listen to music.

28 . Epsom. Salt. Baths

29. Try a new face mask 

30. Vitamins. Melatonin to sleep . B6 + B12 to boost your metabolism .

31. Make a list of safe foods. 

32.  Write your current weight on your hand and your goal on the other as a reminder to you .

33.  NEVER exercise during your first fast.

34.  Eat light the night before. 

35. Write a letter to a friend. 

36. Write the time of when you're craving during a fast , later on it will determine which time you struggle at most. You can do this more than once.

37. Hold yourself back for 10 minutes . 

38 . Take your dog for a walk 

39. Don't sit down for long periods of time , this will lead to eating out of boredom.

40. Always be busy and always have something on your mind . Remember, you have a goal and aim to achieve it .
