BTW, Gerard doesn't mind if you talk about other bands or listen to music on the radio, he just doesn't listen to music by himself. He also doesn't mind band merch or posters, as long as it's not MCR.
"So where are we gonna eat?" I asked as I hopped in the car. Ray and Mikey were in the front, and I was squished between Lyn-Z and Gerard.
"Wherever you guys want. Hey Delilah, do you have any allergies?" Said Ray
"Uh, yea, actually. Im allergic to peanuts and tree nuts." I responded. Lets say that I found out about my allergy the hard way. It was my firsts peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, when I was five. The stuff grosses me out anyway.
"What's the difference between a peanut and a tree nut? Aren't all nut just nuts." Asked Gerard
"Peanuts grow out of the ground, stuff like almonds and cashews grow out of trees. I can have coconut though." I explained.
"Ew, coconuts disgusting" Mikey said as he wrinkled his nose.
"wHAT?" I said "COCONUT IS A GREAT FLAVOUR THAT CAN BE USED IN PIES, DRINKS AND ICE CREAM. HAVE YOU EVER HAD A MOUNDS BAR? BECAUSE IF NOT THEN YOU HAVENT EXPERIENCED HEAVAN YET"
"THATDOESNTMAKEITNOTGROSS. DONT MOUNDS BARS HAVE ALMONDS ANYWAY?" Replied Mikey
"Guys, guys" Ray chuckled "Where are we going to go eat?"
"There's a new steak restaurant by the mall, what if we go there?" Suggested Lyn-z
"Sounds good to me," Said Gerard "How about you guys?" Mikey and Ray nodded in approval.
"How about you Delilah?" Said Lyn-z
"I've never had steak before, but there's a first time for everything right?" I said
"Alrighty then, lets go!" Said Gerard
Ray pulled the car out of the driveway, and out onto the street. I was excited to try my first steak, we never had anything fancy at the orphanage. We usually had some type of fast food or sandwiches.
"So, Delilah, what bands so you like?" Said Lyn-z
"Well I definitely love M-" oh, wait, I can't say MCR "mAYDAY PARADE. YES, LOVE THEM."
"Their pretty good, who else?" Said Mikey
"Green Day, Falling in Reverse, Sleeping with Sirens, BTS, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Peirce the Veil, Fearless Vampire Killers, Hello Sleepwalkers, Paramore, The All-American Rejects, Twenty One Pilots, EXO, We The Kings, The Beatles, I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME, The Killers, Rise Against, Avril Lavigne, Blink-182, Set It Off, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Mindless Self Indulgance, Gorillaz, Jimmy Eat World, Cage the Elephant, All Time Low, The Strokes, Hmmm. That's all I can think of right now."
"Woah, That's a lot of bands." Said Ray as we pulled up to the restaurant. Gerard was silent while I named all the bands.
"Man, I'm starving, lets eat" Said Gerard.
The inside of the restaurant was huge and fancy. I had never been anywhere like this before. The whole place smelled DELICIOUS.
"Wow," I said, thinking out loud "This is crazy"
"I know, right?" Said Mikey.
"Am I under-dressed for this place?" I said as the waiter sat us down at a circular table.
"Nah, you're fine" Replied Mikey
"Can I start you guys off with something to drink." Said the waiter, making me jump a little in my seat. The waiter placed bread rolls on the table.
"Lemonaid please," I responded "But, um, I have a nut allergy. I thought I would tell you now."
"Oh, yes, everything on the menu is nut free, except for some of the desserts and the rolls. The rolls don't have any nuts In them, they just are processed in a facility so there may be some cross contamination" Said the waiter.
"Okay, thank you" I was used to not being able to eat stuff. I was cool with it by now. I looked away from the waiter and back at the table. Everyone was staring at me. "W-What?"
"Oh, there's nothing wrong, we just feel bad that you can't eat the bread" Said Lyn-z
"Guys, it's fine, I'm used to it" I giggled. That just made them look even more sympathetic. "GuYs ChIlL iTs NoT lIkE iVe NeVeR hAd BrEaD"
"...okay," Said Gerard "Well, I'm gonna use the bathroom, I'll be back" Gerard stood up and walked to the bathroom.
"Okay, Lyn-z, now would be a good time to tell you this," Said Ray "But, Delilah plays guitar, and its at our house now."
Lyn-z looked suprised, but not in a bad way. She looked like she was happy about it.
"Actually, that's perfect!" She said through a smile "I, well, I have to tell you something too. There's actually a reason why I chose to adopt you"
"W-What?" Was that a good thing? Why did she pick me?
"Ok, let me explain. Ever since MCR broke up, Gerard hasn't been himself. He hasn't been happy. Music was his escape from the world, but now he doesn't have an escape. I thought that a kid could save him from his misery. The only hope for Gerard is you, Delilah. I saw it in your eyes, you can fix him." Explained Lyn-z
Ray and Mikey looked suprised, but you could tell that they agreed.
"B-But how do I "fix" Gerard? I can't do it alone!" I said
"You know, she's right. She can't do it by herself." Said Ray "There's only one other person who can fix Gerard. Lyn-z, we need Frank."
