"Well, I think we're all set here, ready to go?" Lyn-z said.
"Yea, I think so." I responded. I think that I packed everything from my room. I left it pretty empty. There wasn't much to begin with though. "Oh! I almost forgot!" I said as I ran upstairs.
I shoved my hand under the mattress and moved it around until I found something cold and chain like. Then I pulled it out and held it in my hand. The sparkly J on the silver chain glimmered in the light. I stared at it and then put it around my neck. The song Lost in Stereo by All Time Low started to play in my head as I put it on. Lost in Stereo was Jamie's favorite song.
"Seriously? She gave you that?" Said a voice I knew all to well.
"What, did you think that she would give it to you?" I replied.
"Just because she left us here doesn't mean you get to keep all her stuff. I know that she didn't give it to you. You stole it."
"I didn't steal it! I found it!" I finally turned from my mattress to face Kyle. Kyle was Jamie's ex boyfriend. Jamie broke up with him because #1 he's a douche, and #2 he cheated on her. His shaggy black hair fell right above his ears, and his green and black plaid polo was untucked.
"I know about your little crush on Jamie. She never liked you back ya know. She's straight. Plus, she was MY girlfriend"
"Yea, but she DUMPED you. I can't wait to get out of this place. Everyone here, including you, hates me. The only decent person was Jamie, but she's gone, and probably happy with her new family." I started to break down. "She didn't even say g-goodbye" I Said as I kneeled down on the floor. Kyle was right, I did have a crush on Jamie. She was always there for me, but then she left. I was gay. I hadn't told anyone yet, but I knew that I was. I was gay, and the one I loved left without saying goodbye.
Kyle kneeled down next to me. "She never loved you, and your new family never will. Trying to forget me? You'll never forget me. You know why? Because you thought that I was the only one keeping you from Jamie. But then she left, and you realized that she never loved you. Good luck with your new family, you'll be back here before you know it."
I stood up. Done with Kyle, and done with this stupid orphanage. "Kyle, I know that Jamie never loved me the way I loved her. But I know that she cared about me more than she cared about you. I used to think that I wasnt afraid to walk this world alone when Jamie left, and I'm always prepared to because things might go wrong. But now I know that I have a family that will care about me. And Kyle, I wasn't trying to forget you, because I never planned on remembering you in the first place." I walked out of the room, and didn't look back.
Heeeyyyoooooo. What did u guys think of this chapter? I thought that I should give her some backstory. Tell me if I should bring Kyle back in the future. I'm open to your ideas! Alright imma go ~💖💖 xodilh
