Katjaa and Kenny were sitting upfront in the drivers and passenger seats. I walked up to them, Carly followed.
"Find everything alright?" Kenny asked.
Carly and I briefly looked at each other.
"Uh.. yeah. Everything's fine." I said, slightly hesitating.
"Hm... It seemed that you two spent a long time in there." Kenny said.
"We... um... a walker attacked me. Lee killed it. God, it was disgusting." Carly said.
Kenny's tone of voice became more serious. "You didn't get bit did you?"
Katjaa turned to look at us. She had a look of worry and concern.
"No... Luckily." Carly said.
"Phew... good. We don't need that right now." Kenny said.
Katjaa turned back around. The conversation seemed to end at that.
I sat in the small booth. Clementine sat next to me. Carly sighed and sat across from Clem and I.
Kenny continued to drive the RV. Everyone sat in silence.
I sighed and looked out the window. We passed abandoned movie theaters and restaurants. Occasionally my eye caught a walker.
After a while of sitting in silence Kenny spoke up. "Wha... oh... crap." He said in distress.
"What?" I asked.
"The damn RV is over heating. Steam is everywhere." Kenny said.
I walked over to the front of the RV. Sure enough, the RV had lots steam coming out of it.
"Shit..." Carly said.
"Open the hood, I'll have a look." I said, beginning to exit the RV.
I could hear the thump as the hood was unlocked. I walked over to the front of the RV and raised the hood, exposing the engine.
"Shit." I said.
Kenny exited out of the RV. He walked over to me.
"Damn.. oh..DAMNIT!" Kenny said, getting to get angry with the RV.
I sighed and brought my hand to my forehead. "Shit..." I mumbled.
Steam was poring out of the engine. I knew that it had to sit for a while before it could be driven again.
"DAMNIT!" Kenny said, slamming the hood down.
"Dude I know this sucks but we shouldn't draw any attention to us." I said.
Kenny and I simmered in anger for a bit. Then Kenny broke the silence.
"We need to find a better shelter for tonight." Kenny said.
I sighed. "Why?"
"What if a herd of walkers come around? We would just run a risk of getting noticed." Kenny said.
"Yeah that's true. We would probably get a shitty sleep too." I replied.
Knowing that there wasn't anything we could do to help the RV's engine, Kenny and I returned to the interior of the RV.
I opened the RV door. Everyone directed their attention to me.
"Alright, the engine overheated and we need to find a safer place to stay for the night."
"Whats wrong with sleeping in the RV?" Carly asked.
"If a herd of walkers came through, we wouldn't want to draw attention some how. If we did, we wouldn't have much of a chance. Also if a herd came through, we would probably would get a rough night sleep. " I explained.
