Worst Day

The next day comes around and I see Charlie walking out just as I head out for school. I catch up to him.

Ellie: Hey Charlie!

Charlie: Hi Ellie, I was wondering if you go to the school down the street?

Ellie: Yeah I'm going there now

Charlie: Great!

We get to school knowing a lot more about each other, I show Charlie most of the school and his locker. As school actually start and we were at Charlie's locker getting most of the things he needs, I look over to see Tom and Jazz holding hands, but she spots me and leaves Tom's side. I look at Charlie.

Charlie: Sorry I'm taking a long time

Ellie: It's fine, take your time.

I then feel a tap on my shoulder to spot Tom right behind me. He looks between Charlie and I.

Tom: Is this cute neighbor guy

I feel myself blushing as we were right in front of Charlie, I spot Charlie blushing as well. I rush out of the scene as I go to the bathroom. I heard someone yell my name. I exit the bathroom as I see the coast was clear. I enter my class and I see Charlie walking in as i take a seat. He places himself at the seat next to me. We were doing a prototype today so I had to talk to Charlie. BUT GUESS WHAT! Tom was in this class to and he was in the same lab as Charlie and I. We had to start as the teacher told us to. I start drawing something as the design, I felt the awkward tension in the air.

Charlie's POV

I kept staring her as she was really focused, she has little glasses on which complimented her blue eyes. She was cute and I was glad she called me cute neighbor guy, I actually liked her. Yet why would that guy say that, and how did he know. I'm put out of my thought as I hear her name being called

Ellie's POV

I hear my name being called by the teacher, I go over to her and she tells me the office was asking for me. I head over to the office and see Harrison there with the principal his eyes were red and tears fell from his eyes.

P: Sit down Ms. Osterfield

I take a seat.

P: Now I'm sorry to say this, but

I see Harrison tearing up again

P: Your parents are no longer with us.

I break into tears and Harrison pulls me into a hug, he knew how close I was to them.

P: You two are allowed to be home till the end of the week, although you will need to get the make-up packet by your teachers.

I clean myself really quickly.

Ellie: Thank y-you

We exit the room and head to the period we were last in to grab our stuff. I grab my things about to leave Charlie grabs my hand just like when my mom would catch me when we played Hide and Seek. I start tearing up again, he looks me in the eye knowing I'm about to break. He pulls me into a hug, he didn't know about my parents yet he cares. I look up from Charlie's shoulder to see Tom getting jealous.

Ellie: I have to go...

Charlie: I'll see you after school, yeah?

I nod at him.
