fem!reader x baji keisuke
you stepped into the dojo with your head held high and confidence guiding your strut. you repeated the advice your older brother had given you in your head like a mantra, 'lay low, don't make a scene. we're new to tokyo, we don't need any trouble.'
boy, did you enjoy disobeying him.
today, you began your second week of high school in the shibuya district, and due to a couple of rather unpleasant encounters with a certain long-haired boy last week, you'd decided to make his life a living hell.
you thought to start at the karate dojo he was affiliated with by taking it upon yourself to join. so when you walked through the doors, he'd noticed you and walked up to you immediately-- as expected.
"miss me already, princess?" he cockily asked, tilting his head with a flirty smirk on his face.
"get off your high horse, baji," you deadpanned, frowning at him accordingly. you marched past him, gaining the attention of the rest of the students in the dojo, including the sensei.
"what do we have here?" he queried, sounding a little more condescending than you'd anticipated. you kept your chin up and refused to let the fact that you were the only girl in the vicinity shake you down.
"i want to join," you stated plainly. the sensei looked quite young, so she wasn't surprised to find that he seemed almost as full of himself as his students.
"i'm sorry, sugarcane, but dance class is a couple blocks down," he defied, locking his hands together behind his back. a couple of chuckles were heard around the room, but you remained still and confidant.
"i'm not leaving until you let me join," you tested, shrugging dismissively.
"is that so?"
"or how about i make you a deal," you offered, coming up with an even better idea, one that would've doubled the effect you were aiming for, "if i beat five of your best fighters, you let me join."
"and if you lose?" he countered, sounding interested. sure, he didn't seem like he wanted a girl affiliated with his dojo, but you knew as a fact, like all men you'd ever met, that he wouldn't decline a challenge.
"i'll walk out and you won't ever see my face again."
the sensei narrowed his eyes at you in contemplation, figuring there was no way that you'd win. but the sole reason you'd suggested such a challenge was because you knew you'd kick their asses, no problem. at the level you'd been trained at since the mere age of four, you figured it was the only way you could show up baji keisuke, the boy who'd been hounding you since the day you'd met him.
