fem!reader x hanma shuji
"he's been after you for months, y/n," rindou implied, rolling his eyes impatiently.
"so, what?"
"so, we're talking about hanma for god's sake," he urged, sounding as if he was more fixated on it than you were, "are you gonna get laid or what?"
"rindou!" you hissed, slapping his arm from across the table with the back of your hand.
"what? i'm just being realistic!" he defended, rubbing his forearm, "besides, don't you wanna get laid?"
"don't you ever get sick of asking me questions?" you retorted, not wanting to talk about it anymore. rindou was your best friend, which meant he noticed things about you that the other members of tenjiku didn't. and one of those things was how hooked hanma shuji was on trying to court you. albeit, he wasn't exactly romantic about it. in fact, anything that had ever come from that boy's mouth was a mere catcall next to an insult.
"it's your funeral," he shrugged, falling back into his seat.
hanma had only recently joined tenjiku, but it was more than obvious that he was a cocky, sadistic man. as a girl, you knew not to trust most of the men in tenjiku; for the most part, they were exactly like hanma-- arrogant and violent with the sole intention on gaining more power. the only thing that may've differed them was that hanma had a certain charisma to his charm. the type that made a small part of you want to give in and let him treat you like shit.
of course, you knew that wasn't something you could afford, what with being the only girl in a delinquent gang.
after having lunch with rindou, you headed off to your home in hopes to get a break from all said gang duties for the day.
unfortunately, a certain nuisance had latched onto your travel along the way.
"y/n, wait up--" you heard him call after you, as you marched down the sidewalk with contempt.
"take a hike, hanma," you remarked, before even looking behind you. nowadays, it was more than easy to differentiate that hoodlum's voice from anyone else's.
"will you just hear me out? i'm not gonna hit on you," he insisted, simultaneously catching up to the speed at which you were walking. it was the first time he'd ever said something like that to you, so you froze in your tracks and turned to him with a contemplating glare.
"you have two minutes," you deadpanned, crossing your arms. usually, your encounters with him included the audience of a few of his friends, so the nasty remarks earned him some sort of traction, but now, it was just the two of you. there was nobody to impress.
"listen, you've made it very clear that you don't like me, and i really am sorry for being a dick okay?" he exclaimed, rubbing the nape of his neck nervously. you never thought you'd see someone like hanma nervous before. it was rather astonishing, but you kept your cool and wondered if he was gonna be able to genuinely apologize.
