'Bet' part two

- - -

"Juggie! Please come back!" She yelled. It was far too late and he had already left the school.

She was stupid and she knew it. She was stupid for ever accepting the bet. She was stupid for ever breaking his heart. Although two hearts where broken that day.

She picked up what he had dropped, when he turned around to leave.

It was a book. Her favorite book, signed by her favorite author.

She couldn't help but let out a small sob. He missed him so much already and it hadn't even been a full 20 minutes. Whatever it was she was going to fix it, she wanted the boy she endlessly loved back.

She tried calling at first, and she failed.

Then she tried leaving a voicemail, that failed too.

She tried messaging but she got left on 'read'.

She couldn't even talk to him in person because he stopped going to school. He couldn't deal with the pain and the embarrassment. He left.

She wrote him a letter, and she made sure he got it.

'Juggle I miss you. I was stupid I know it, and I hate myself for it. God you don't know how much I love you. How much I love your smile. How much I love your stupid jokes that weren't even funny. I wasn't faking, you made me realize that I need you. I'm not myself anymore. I stopped being me the day you ran off. It's not your fault. Please come back to me, please. I need you so much I need your loving hugs and kisses. I want to see your smile again. I can't forgive the fact that I gave you the frown you wear nowadays. Juggie I love you, I swear I love you so much.

Love, Betty.'

"He got it but I don't know if he read it." Archie said.

I had sent him to give Jughead the letter as I knew he wouldn't take it from me. Not that it was much help. I later find out he ready it, only to find it in the trash later on.

She stopped trying. She knew he'd never want to speak to her again. But she didn't want to move on without saying an apology. She ditched school and made her way to his trailer.

All she found was boxes and trash. He left and he wasn't coming back.

She wouldn't accept it. She knew where he would go. His dad was in jail and sometimes he would talk about visiting his mom. And that's when she got it.

She didn't care anymore. She needed to see him. She ran to the bus station and asked for a ticket. Lucky for her the was the me left.

She looked for Jughead all over the station but he wasn't there. A sign that he had probably left.

The time came around and she was getting ready to get in the bus. She was making her way into the bus when she heard his voice.

"Betty?"

"Jughead!"

She ran to give him a hug but immediately stopped herself. They stood there staring at each other tears running out of Betty's eyes. They were silent until she broke the silence.

"Juggie im sorry. I get it if you never forgive me but I didn't want you to leave without me apologizing. I'm sorry I really am. I'm stupid for taking the bet. I want you to know that I didn't accept the money. I love you."

She didn't want to hear his response. Probably because it would've been something like 'go away I don't forgive you' so she started to walk away. But he stretched out his arm to stop her.

"I believe you Betty, I forgive you. I was mad but I read you letter and Archie came by almost every day to tell me how miserable you were. Betty I love you." He said, tears in his eyes.

She couldn't help but let out a small sob, then she reached out to him and hugged him as tight as possible. "I swear juggie I love you so much." She cried. "I just made you miss your bus" she continued.

"I couldn't leave knowing I'd leave you behind"

They leaned in and kissed. It was almost like their first kiss all over again.

I personally don't think this is my best, but I hope you enjoyed it!
