A/N: I will be introducing a new character in this story. He is a member of a K-pop group called Got7 which has a Thai member and an American member named Mark. Just a reminder, since this is a fan fiction, the events in this story never happened. Also, the image above is not mine. It belongs to the person who uploaded it on the internet.

Joss' POV

I woke up with a throbbing excruciating headache. I did the exact opposite of what I advised Bas not to do, which was not to resort to alcohol when you're nursing your sorrows. As a result I was suffering from one of the worst hangovers I ever had.

I went to my kitchen, pressing two fingers against the side of my head.

WHY? WHY? WHY? I asked myself while placing a pot of water on the stove to boil.

Why is it that every time I'm on the verge of happiness, it gets snatched away from me?

I was having so much fun with Copter yesterday. We both had enjoyed the movie so much and had plans of having dinner together afterwards when one of the members of his group appeared from nowhere and dragged him away from me.

My phone started to ring and I was inclined to ignore it but then I recognized the ringtone. Mark? Mark Tuan?

I had met Mark Tuan a few years ago when he and the members of his group came to Bangkok to perform. Since BamBam, the only Thai member of his group, was my friend, he introduced Mark and the other members to me. Except for BamBam of course who was Thai, the others didn't know much of our language. They all spoke English but it was Mark who spoke good English and so we were able to communicate well and had enjoyed each other's company. In the course of our conversation, we had discovered that we had a lot of things in common. We shared the same interests.

We had exchanged numbers and would call each other from time to time.

I decided to take the call.

"Mark! What a pleasant surprise!"

"How you been?" he asked.

I was tempted to say not too good but if I did I would have to tell him why.

"Great!" I lied.

"Hey, listen," he said, "it's gonna be your birthday in two weeks but my group will be very busy promoting our comeback song so I was thinking for as long as I'm free next week I will be joining my family for a short vacation in Bangkok. We could meet up and have an early birthday celebration."

I was actually not in the mood to celebrate my birthday but since Mark was a special friend and this was a once in a blue moon thing I decided to take up his invitation.

"Perfect!" I said, "What day next week do you want to meet with me?"

He named the day. I did not even bother to glance at my calendar of events. I was going to make time for him regardless of what was on my work schedule on that day.

"Let's do it!" I said.

"Great! I will call you as soon as I land in your beautiful country!" he sounded excited and happy.

On the contrary I was feeling miserable. Maybe a meeting with Mark would cheer me up.
