Joss' POV
Things got pretty busy after my birthday. I got modeling sessions and promo events left and right.
Bas must have been pretty busy too because I had not heard from him for a longer time than usual. The few chances that I tried to call him were unsuccessful and I never got any return calls.
I awoke one Sunday morning to find the internet, the news and TV media all abuzz with something that I had long dreaded to hear or read.
The images of Bass and Godt flashed at me, causing me the deepest pain that my chest could hardly handle.
They were both proudly showing off couple rings to the media. Godt had made the announcement that he and Bas were officially together.
I guess I couldn't blame Godt. He had to make the move. He had to make it clear to everyone that Bas was taken before anyone else could claim him.
I would have done the same, but I would have done it earlier. Godt did not have the same strong determination that I had. His only advantage had been that he met Bas before I did.
I felt like a zombie the whole day. Thankfully, there was no work lined up for me for the next two days.
By evening, I knew that I could not stay in my condo any minute longer.
I packed my bags and caught a plane to Incheon Airport.
When I landed at Incheon, I made a call, keeping my fingers crossed that he would answer.
"Hey, buddy, what's up?" his pleasant voice sounded surprised. I was going to say something that would make his voice sound even more surprised.
"I just landed at Incheon," I said.
WWWHHHAAATTT???
"Would it be a big bother for you to pick me up from here?" I asked Mark, keeping my fingers crossed again.
"Gimme a sec," he said.
I heard him talking to someone. I heard several voices in the background.
Then he got back to me.
"You're in so much luck," he said, "sit tight and pass the time talking to any pretty lady you come across at the airport while you wait for me and BamBam to get there."
"Oh, BamBam is with you?" I asked.
"Not just him but the rest of my group," he said, "we just finished performing in a live telecast show. BamBam and I will come to pick you up."
"That's great!" I said, "okay, just call me when you're near so that I can watch out for you guys by the curbside."
"Okay, see you in a bit," he said and ended the call.
I didn't try talking to any pretty lady to pass the time as my friend Mark had suggested. I just sat on one of the benches and opened my phone and looked at the images of Bas and Godt once more, both of them proudly showing off their couple rings and looking lovingly at each other.
When they finally arrived, I was already standing by the curbside watching out for them.
Mark parked the car and got out of the car and I saw BamBam come out of the car as well.
Wait, there was a third guy who came out of the passenger seat in the back.
After I gave BamBam and Mark a buddy hug, BamBam introduced the other guy to me.
"Hey, Joss, this is my cousin Chris (A/N: just a made up name, doesn't exist), he just arrived from Bangkok yesterday to pay me a visit."
I held out my hand and he took it with a warm smile. I could have been just imagining it but he had the same height and build as Bas and his eyes...his eyes... I felt myself going weak in the knees as he fixed his gaze on me.
"I have been a fan of yours for a very long time," he said.
NO WAY, NO FREAKING WAY.
"Hey, both of you!" BamBam called out from inside the car, "get in the car already! You're holding up the traffic!"
Both Chris and I had not noticed that Mark and BamBam had already gotten in the car. We had just stood by the curb side still shaking hands and looking at each other like time and place had been suspended from us.
THE END
