Everything was quiet, no one said anything and I just feel like my head is in the process drowning. To here some of your best friends were part of the rebel group trying to overthrow the government and that they had been lying to you about it was one thing. For them to also invite to join the rebel group is a whole nothing event on it's own.
"Why know?" I ask finally
"We have always had the intention of telling you guys but the moment we warmed up to it the scientist came. We didn't want to say anything just in case," Lacey said in her soft voice that usually gave comfort but right now it felt like there was just this weight.
"How long have you been with the rebel group?" Tyler asked
"Since freshman year of high school. I was in a different branch at the time but when I met Lacey I moved to the All Seer division," Clarabell said while taking hold of Lacey's hand.
"I am part of the original group of people who formed the All Seer division. It was formed back when I was in middle school. I was for recruitment originally but know I fight when needed, and gather information," Sally says and know I start to understand why she took all of those fighting classes growing up.
"Ever since Madison came into our lives and then told us about her being an All Seer, we wanted to have you guys join our group but never felt like the right time," Lacey says
"So now? After Madison has been question and what we can gather taken. Now is the right time to tell us?" I can feel the heat of my anger rising up to my face.
"Jonathan, calm down. We don't like it either but we had no other way. It was tell you and worry about the scientists, or wait until things blew over. We never thought that Madison would be taken away," Clarabell said stepping up.
Clarabell was close to my height and she honestly scares me when she gets serious but my mind is clouded with too many thoughts and emotions right now.
"You never thought? Then what was all the fucking talk about protecting her! How do you think she feels right now?" I snapped but then I heard something I thought I would never hear in my life time.
"Jonathan calm the fuck down! You have no right to judge us about our choices. Yes, we lied to you. Yes, we promised Madison but shit happens. Now you can either help us or you don't," Lacey snapped at me and for the first time in my life I heard her cuss.
I was taken back but our soft spoken Lacey suddenly snapping at me. However, I did deserve it. I was being a prick. I sit back down and see Lacey pull Clarabell back.
Everything is quiet and I know I'm thinking about the offer that the girls gave us. I don't know how I could possibly help but I want to. I want Madison back with us. It feels wrong without her here and she has only been in our lives for a few months.
"What would we be doing if we join the rebels?" I ask looking up.
"It depends. Jonathan, if you joined you were be in our analytics department. You are good with numbers and you are good with any sort of film or photo you would be analyzing stuff like that as well for us," Clarabell says
"Tyler, if you joined you would be part of our hacking department. You would at first be under the training of some of our best hackers and then you would dive in the deep end quick," Lacey says
"And me?" Travis asks
"I would have you train with me. I know you took some self defense classes and you have told me your inference in some training before. So you would do ground work with me," Sally says.
"You three and really thought of it all," I state and I see them glance at each other.
"So, will you join us?" Clarabell asks
