Silence...

No one spoke...

No one moved...

They are just waiting...

Waiting to know if they succeeded...

Or failed miserably...

Jonathan has his head in his hands with Lacey slowly running her hand up and down his back. Clarabell sits next to her just leaning her head on Lacey's shoulder. Tyler stays at his screen trying to get back in the system but to no avail. Even Director Euwell is silent. She's holding a picture of her and her children. The ones who started all of this.

Jonathan looks up and even with all of the colors that once held some much wonderment and brightness just feel like a burden. It's overwhelming and feels like it doesn't matter that his sights have developed. Just the smallest bits of grey are laying over the last color to breakthrough.

Purple

"There's these beautiful deep purple flowers right outside my window back home. My mother always loved to tend to them."

Jonathan thinks of the flowers Madison had talked so fondly of so many months ago before they truly knew of her being the All Seer. Before trying to hide her sights away from the scientists. Before they kidnapped her. Before everything and when she was just another girl on campus.

"I can see almost all the colors now," Jonathan whispers just so Lacey and Clarabell can hear.

"What's the last color?" Lacey asks.

"Purple, it's there but the grey is still clinging on but I can make it out."

"I know you said that all these sights started developing after you and Madison talked but how did they continue after she was taken?" Clarabell leans against more Lacey so that she could talk quieter.

"I don't know. I just kept thinking about our conversations and looking to see what things looked like with all the colors. They just kept peaking through the grey and soon I gained the sights. It slowed down a lot after...but it didn't stop." Jonathan's voice grows even more quiet at the end.

Silence stretches out between everyone until Tyler stands up from his chair knocking it over. Everyone jumps and turns to look at him. He doesn't pay any attention and continues working on his screen. Jonathan can tell he is muttering something to himself.

"Tyler, what's going on. Is everything okay?" Jonathan stands up and walks over.

"What's going on?" Director Euwell's voice breaks through the speakers.

"I am almost back in. I was able to find a break into their coding, something I almost missed. I just have a couple more walls to get through and I could have at least the coms back." Tyler's voice is rushed, his eyes never breaking away from the screen.

"I might be able to help. Tell me where that break is." Euwell's video call is transferred to Tyler's screen.

Moments later, Tyler lets out a deep breath before speaking. "Can anyone hear me?"

...

... ...

... ... ...

"Tyler, this is Travis. I can hear you."

"Oh my god," Clarabell breaths out.

"Give me an update, what's going on." Lacey races over.

"We were able to get Madison and Lacey to our medic team. They are taking them to the Division medical center as we speak. Along with them are four others for injuries..." he trails off and everyone holds their breath before Tyler speaks.
