Tyler and I have screens set up next to each other while Lacey and Clarabell are next to me with their own screens. Travis and Sally went to the combat centers to get ready and build the teams. I was setting up a video scan for Cole and Madi, plus any guards, that went through all the buildings' cameras that Tyler got me into. While this was going on, I noticed a little pop up on my screen indicating that someone signed in.
"Nathanial just logged in." I turned to look at Lacey.
"I told Euwell about my suspicions and apparently she had already been actively investigating these two. I'll get her on call." Lacey video calls Euwell.
"Lacey, what's going on? Why are you calling me?" Euwell looks through the screen with a curious expression written on her face.
"Nathanial just logged on. The others and I are wondering if we are allowed to hack into his system and see what he is doing." Lacey cuts to the chase and the Director gives a nod.
"Permission granted. I'll keep an eye on if Samantha logs on and I will contact you to do the same. If any of you have a private server then please use that and keep an eye on them. We are so close to getting Madison Beckle back to safety and overthrowing this corrupt government."
"Thank you. We will keep you updated."
The call ends and while that was going on, I already have my private server installed on this screen and was going through all of the logins and additional odds and ends to have everything running through my server. I am also having Tyler do the same thing so that he could keep an eye on Nathanial with me. Thankfully, Tyler has been teaching me some basics in hacking, so I can be of a bit more help.
"Okay, we have everything set up. Get Travis and Sally on the coms and we are all connected and ready to go," Tyler says once he and I are finished.
Lacey and Clarabell each get the other two on coms through their screen. We all were mostly silent as things began to unfold. Travis and Sally were giving out orders as they loaded into unmarked vans and cars. Some, like Sally, were lightly armed. Mostly items used for closed quarters. While Travis and a few others would stay outside and were more heavily armed in case things turned ugly.
Tensions were high as the two teams made their journey across the city towards the medical center. They split off, Sally's team heading straight for an entrance that directly leads into the old medical wing that was brought up during the discussion. Madison's cell was in the heart of it. From what was streaming through the cameras, few guards were posted at the entrance and almost none were outside. A majority of the guards were stationed around Madi's room and a few of the medical rooms.
"All guards are wearing military-grade armor and are armed heavily. But the halls themselves are narrow. Catch them there and you have a better chance." Lacey relayed the message to Travis and Sally.
"Jonathan, Cole is on his screen. He's talking to a surgeon. They are planning on moving her operation up. We only have three hours until she goes under the knife." Tyler moves his screen so I can read the messages.
"Shit...is there anything you can do?" I ask
"I can try to get into some of the equipment that they have hooked up to their servers. Only two are hooked up since the rest I'm guessing aren't meant to be known about down there. Just let me...got it. Okay, I've shut down their optical nerve machine, it's meant to connect to eyes to see any damages and something that looks like a torture device."
"I can see a nurse running down the hall. Looks like they were planning on using those on her."
"The surgeon just said told Cole about the shutdown and....okay, we bought at least another hour."
