Sarah and Lucy sat down in a booth in the near empty bar and picked up a menu each from the table in front of them.
"What's good here?" Lucy asked glancing over the food menu.
Sarah smiled, "The burgers particularly the veggie ones, but if that's not your thing the meat ones are okay too."
Lucy nodded, "I think I'll have the Lentil and Olive one with the polenta fries."
Sarah nodded, "Good choice it's my favourite too, is Ian brushing off on you with his veggie kick?"
"My friend Annie is a vegan," Lucy replied, "so she always used to make me meat free dishes but I'm not sure if I could go completely veggie just yet."
Sarah smiled, "I'm the same, as much as I enjoy the food that Ian cooks for me I'm not sure if I could stop eating meat entirely at the moment."
A waiter approached the table and took their food and drink orders, returning a few moments later with mojitos for the both of them.
"You're a bad influence on me," Lucy said with a chuckle, "I'm not sure I should be drinking this early when I have work tomorrow."
Sarah smiled, "What time is your call?"
"Ten thirty," Lucy replied, taking a quick sip of her drink, "but we're both going to be there till late again."
"We'll drink water between drinks," Sarah said, "We won't get drunk. I promise."
Lucy smiled, "Ah the famous last words..."
"Did you always know you wanted to be an actress?" Sarah asked Lucy once their food had arrived.
Lucy shook her head and put her burger back on her plate, "No I came here with my mom convinced I was going to be a singer. I'd never even given acting a thought, it just kind of happened."
"You never trained?" Sarah asked.
Lucy shook her head once again, "No I just started auditioning. I think it was a way of justifying why we were still out here and I realised I really enjoyed it."
"I never would've guessed. I mean I know there are a lot of actors who've never trained but I just always assumed you had. You're pretty good at it."
"Thanks," Lucy replied smiling, "What about you? Have you ever thought about following Ian and being in front of the camera?"
"Oh god no," Sarah said shaking her head from side to side, "I think I'll stay on the opposite side for now."
Conversation flowed freely between the two females and more rounds of drinks were ordered.
"Ian mentioned that you're going to Florida next weekend for your sister's wedding?" Sarah said.
"Yeah," Lucy replied.
"You don't sound very enthusiastic."
"No," Lucy replied, "I am it's just...."
"What?" Sarah asked.
Lucy shook her head and shrugged slightly, "My sister is marrying her college boyfriend."
"So," Sarah replied, "why is this bothering you?"
Lucy picked up her glass and gulped the remainder of her drink down, "He's only the second guy Maggie's dated. I'm five years younger and already on number four. I just worry that somebody is going to say something."
"Why?" Sarah asked, "You may be sisters but you've been brought up in completely different environments and you live completely different lifestyles. Maggie doesn't have the paparazzi or fans to contend with."
