Stars in the Sky (Reader X 707)

Chapter 3: The Past, part 1

"Don't you dare come any closer!"

The man points his knife at the girl he's holding, the girl is tied up and blindfolded. Y/N growls at the man, she's in the verge of tears. The girl he's holding means everything to her. Without even thinking, Y/N ran towards the man. The man quickly lets go of the girl and gets ready to attack Y/N. Then-

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

Y/N woke up in a jolt. She was panting and sweating. She then covered her right eye, which is already blind, with her bangs and took deep breaths. She turned her alarm off and does her morning routine and plays Mystic Messenger before leaving her house to go to the university.

She never told anyone about her past, not even Jessica knows. Her right eye got blind because of an accident she got into. After that accident, she never showed up to her family again, not even once. But she sometimes look after them when she has the time, like today. She passed by a small house with two cars on the garage. She looks at the girl and boy that's playing outside the house. The girl and boy noticed her and smiled and waved at her. Y/N smiled and waved back then continued driving to her university.

Jessica's absent today because she got a fever. Y/N spent her lunch alone under the old willow tree behind the university. She pulled her tablet out of her bag and she saw a notification from Mystic Messenger, there was a new chatroom. Y/N soon played the game, after the chatroom, 707 called. *That's strange.. He doesn't call two times in a row.. This is new..* Y/N thought as she plugged her headphones and wore it and answered the call.

"Hello, hello, hello! This is Defender of justice, seven zero seven! How is my princess doing today~?" *Princess?! Is he going to start calling me that from now on?!* Y/N thought as she listened to 707's call while drinking her soda "I hope you're eating your lunch already. You must be wondering why I called you all of a sudden, right? Well, that's because you don't seem fine. Earlier in the chatroom, you were kind of... off. What's wrong? Did something happen last night after I hanged up?" Y/N looked at the her tablet and saw two choices: 1; 'No, nothing happened. I'm just not feeling well today..' 2; 'I just remembered something, but I'm fine, nothing to worry about..' Y/N pressed the second choice then continued drinking her soda. "I see.. I hope you're not working yourself too hard now. I don't want you to get sick all of a sudden, since no one will be able to take care of you if that happens. Hmmm... What if I told you, I found a way to get to your world?.." Y/N suddenly spits her soda out in shock *He found a way to get here!?* Y/N thought. "Sounds crazy, right? But, if its the only way i could get to you, then so be it. Just wait for me there.. You won't have to be alone any longer, my princess.." Then the call ended.

Y/N stared at her tablet as it loads. *Is he telling the truth? Is he lying? But, he sounds so serious.. Even if I really want him here, that would be impossible because he's only a character in a game.. yeah.. only a game..* Y/N thought to herself as she puts her tablet back in her bag and went inside the building to get to her next class.

After classes, she went to Magenta Cafe to work. She went to the back to get dressed as 707. She then remembered his call earlier. "What if I told you, I found a way to get to your world?.." "But, if its the only way i could get to you, then so be it. Just wait for me there.. You won't have to be alone any longer, my princess.." Those sentences are still stuck in her head, even as she works. When her shift was done, she took some leftover slices of cakes in the fridge and puts it in a box then left the cafe.

She passed by the small house again. The girl and boy was waiting at the gate. When they saw Y/N they smiled and waved at her. Y/N smiled, she then parked her motorcycle near the gate. The boy silently opened the gate and then the girl came out and went up to Y/N. "Do you have some sweets for us again, Miss?" The girl asked as she stared at Y/N. Y/N gave the box with slices of cakes and smiled at the girl. The girl looked at the box and looked at Y/N with bright eyes, "Thank you very much, Miss!" she then ran back inside, the boy closed the gate then followed her sister back inside their small house. Y/N smiled then continued driving back to her house.

When Y/N got home, she took a hot shower, ate dinner then went to her room to do her homework. When she finished doing her homework, she fixed her stuff then opened the window and looked at the stars. She sighed as she remembered her dream and what 707 said. Tears started falling down her cheeks. " What if I really died back then?.. Then I won't be suffering like this, duh.. Still.. I wish what seven said is true.. I wanna know if its true.. And if its true, what should i do with him?.. *groans* What am i talking about?!" Y/N threw her pillow to the wall. She then pulled her knees closer and cries softly. "I guess my parents are right.. *sobs* I am crazy.." Y/N continued crying until she fell asleep on the window sill.
